TVT Supercharged February 5, 2013 Share February 5, 2013 Hi, I had sold my car. And need to take public transport with my baby (7months). How to safely carry her in taxi or bus? If you have no pram/bulky bags. just carry the baby, as you could carry her when you walk around lor. The tricky part is how to carry her when you have other stuff like pram, bags with you. Take taxi you can ask the driver to assist you. Take bus a bit harder.... Best is you take MRT.

Coltplussport Turbocharged February 5, 2013 Share February 5, 2013 When taking taxi, make sure you buckle up yourself properly, and hold baby close to you at all time. Bus really not baby friendly, just ask the driver politely to move off only after you sat down.
Cars08 1st Gear February 5, 2013 Share February 5, 2013 (edited) Hi, I had sold my car. And need to take public transport with my baby (7months). How to safely carry her in taxi or bus? weight of the baby overtime will hurt your back.. get a good baby sling provides u w good back support..get a backpack for all the milks and all that or a side sling bag if it is a short journey.. pram u can consider combi which is usually light weight..u can handle it easily with one hand...some allow u to side sling it when going up to the bus. Take a cab if you can during peak hr. Full battle order... Edited February 5, 2013 by Cars08

New_Atlantis 3rd Gear February 5, 2013 Share February 5, 2013 If you really want additional safety. You can get a baby carrier + stroller combo. But it's a hassle Also taxi companies do provide child seat. You have to make a booking and extra charges.
Huntz Clutched June 24, 2013 Share June 24, 2013 First, kudo to you for selling your car. That must be a rough decision since u have a family now. If your financial status permitted, cab is the best choice. Use the phone app to book. Sometime it is faster than calling.
Playtime Twincharged June 24, 2013 Share June 24, 2013 The funny thing is, without child seat you cannot carry a baby in your car. So if I don't have a child seat, I cannot give a lift to anyone with a baby as it's dangerous. So to be safe, the baby must take the chances in a crowded bus. Logical boh?
