CX-8 is a 7 seater version of the CX-5. It's most likely to be priced almost the same like the CX-9. At $175k, its a decent deal. Especially when its primary comp, the Sorento is now at $143k - this represents about 19% difference compared to a 30% difference it was before. Globally, the CX9 is generally about 10% more expensive than the Sorento on an equivalent spec basis. But the CX-9 in Singapore is better specced than the Sorento in Singapore, with important differences in active safety (CX-9 has Lane keep assist, smart city braking, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Blindspot monitor etc while Sorento does not have any active safety systems) and a better speaker system (a 12 speaker Bose system vs the Sorento's quite ordinary stock speakers).
