Stumbled across this while reading the news of this father giving his side of the story of his 2 year old kid being murdered 20 years ago.

A group of teenage boys was playing alongside a railway track in Walton on that cold Sunday afternoon when they spotted what they first thought was a doll or a dead cat on the track between Edge Hill and Bootle. They moved closer.

This story was quite big during that time. If I'm not wrong the two boys had already been released and identity changed for their safety as there were extreme public outrage.

It is really debatable but i find it disturbing that the killers are now living with full citizenship rights under different IDs provided by the state. The fact that they were way below the legal age when they commit the crime is by no means an effective mitigation when placed next to the sheer monstrosity of their heinous acts. i dread to think what vileness still dwell in the murky depths of their hearts.

The story was indeed big at that time! The boys have been released with alternate identities BUT if I remember correctly, one of them has in the last 3-4 years re-offended.

If they don't have new identities who will dare to be near them, other than to hurt them.

Can't imagine anyone that will hurt the 2yo and laugh his head off... this guy obviously born psychopath. From what I learn from House, psychopath are hardwired to be like that since birth, and cannot be changed right?

For the one that re-offended, what's the offence?

Didn't click on the link - was this the James Bulger case? If so, I remember it well from when it was first reported.

20 year old case. But its the first time the father gives his version of the story.

I remember seeing parents strapping their kids like they are walking their dog, and thinking why they treat their child like that. After reading the story, my mindset changed to maybe the child is very hyper and like to anyhow run. I would strap my kid if I have to.

Thank flying spaghetti monster - no!

Jon Venables and Robert Thompson are not allowed to leave England without permission of the authorities and are to report in every few months for the rest of their lives.

No country in their right mind would want them.
