I am more interested how was the overall response from the viewers on the Flying Dutchman morning show?

 

If my 15 year old child comes to me and tell me this, i also dont know how i will response? Most probably i might think my child still confused about his/her sexuality?! If my chid is 35 year old and come tell me this, maybe i might response better?!

Well, those who call in to the radio station to respond. Most of them are pretty open. The general response is they will still love the child, no matter what. so many people have spoken and quite a few of which are already parents (i would like to add, i am not) Yet, nobody has pointed out the fact that at the tender age of 15, it is high probable that a kid especially those who suspect that their gender is in disagreement with their sex, is probably not out of the woods, as far as a firm sexual identity is concerned. I am being dead serious here.

 

Therefore my point here is , before you think of spanking, killing or celebrating with your child, take a moment to reflect to think whether the child really know being a homosexual is what he or she wants. C'mon, haven't you seen scores of so called lesbians and butches in adolescence and yet come round the the bend of their 20s, they are straight.

yeah man. if i have a son, i better start young and bring him to a "tour of duty" in Geylang. Its better for him to get interested in gals in early age than to be a freaky gay.

I dunno whether there is such a thing as born gay but I think a lot of gay ppl suffer some kind trauma when young be it physical or sexual abuse that got them sexually disorientated. Maybe after they were abused they feel that being in their current gender they are being vulnerable so they try to be the opposite sex. I dun really know. But I saw on tv many suffer got history of family abuse when young which lead to what they are today.
