My carpark at the office is those open air type. During the day, it will get very hot.

So, need to remove it away from the sun.

For the X7 or X9, is there any kind soul who can share how how easy it is to take out and put it back, with the windscreen suction in place.

I think it will be better to leave the suction on the windscreen so that there is no need to re-adjust the view every time the camera is being removed.

The X7 adopt the slide in slide out method to attach and detach the camera from the suction cup on the windscreen. so should be easy.

not too sure abt x9

How is this?

Intend to change mine too. Cause VGA quality not good.

I think this one not good.. front is 720P and rear is VGA. Furthermore, the FPS drops to 10FPS when 2 channels are recording simultaneously.. very slow n jerky video... dunno abt the night shots...

If given a choice, I rather forgo this set and get 2 X7 to cover the front n rear, altho need 2 Micro SD cards la...

The above is my personal opinion, and the choice is still ultimately yours... ^_^

I bought a USD50 such car camera last year online ... worked well for about 3 months till it blown my fuse where I pluck the supply from the cigarette lighter socket .... not once but 3X blown the 15A fuse ... took it out and dump away ...

Sometime when my engine is turn on, the car camera does not turn on and hence I have to manually turn it on by taking out the battery and put it back. As such, occasionally, the time setting is totally gone and I have to input one more time.

Is it good? Can capture during night?

At last count, I have bought 5 DVRs from Gmarket/ Qoo10

So far 3 are still with me and working reasonably well, 2 sets kaput after few months. Of the 3 that are with me, 2 had hardware problems shortly after buying but the vendors resolved the issues for me.

Please note however that the specs posted in the ads can be fake, even for some of the "local" sellers. One of the DVRs was described as recording in the H.264 format but turned out to be MJPEG. Seller claimed he just followed whatever the box stated. [knife]

Based on the high failure rate, I think buying from a local seller on Gmarket/Qoo10 is still safer than Ebay as there is some hope of getting an exchange if it is DOA.

Thanks for the info bro..

I was in Shanghai and tho there were big electronics malls I couldn't find one that sold these car gadgets...

Ya, getting in China is really cheaper and it shows how many times the price was marked up before sale in SG... [knife] more like 3-5 times!

But only if we travel often enuf to China then we can take advantage of these low prices, otherwise we will still hv to pay thru our noses in G Market lo... [bigcry]

Wah 5! Could've just bought a branded one. I myself bought 2 brandless one, both still working. Only upgraded from 480 to 720p. Btw, buy from ebay has paypal protection. [;)] After doing research I realised that mine is actually from a Taiwan company called Syntek.
