It doesnt help at all. Its merely supposed to create a smaller version of a filtered intake to create more engine bay space.

One can change whatever filter, exhaust, extract, But without proper tuning there will be no gain at all. In fact most car lost power rather than gain by modding and not tuning the car. Worse case is, it consume more fuel.

I have a fit rs , never brought to mod , waste time waste money to do anything to it. Better off finding another sports car if i wanted more bhp. No money don't learn people play car.

Up til now 4 yrs still stock , never heard of any problems coming from the engine.

The latest Ninja V2 Capsule Filter is incorporates with a 2nd air source forsome more airflow and more power,

1) Air Movement
2) Temperature of Air Intake
3) Velocity of Air Flow
4) Air movement Pattern
5) Compression Ratio of Air
6) Air Pressure

A car mechanic once told me NA engines use everything stock and don't do any mods is the best. There will be negligible performance gains other than aesthetic and noise differences, all others being illusion after spending money. The installation of turbo chargers will be a different story and even then, the engine sure to encounter problems in future. SG is the only place where people change all sorts of stuff coz engine cant change due to LTA regulations. In other countries, people change intake and exhaust coz they changed engines (allowable up to x%).

The tuning makes much more difference to turbo-charged engines. In his own words "We (mechanics) only earn how much per month, those manufacturers' engineers earn how much. If install a few things here and there can make the car fly, what for need those engineers?"

Below is spec sheet of Fujitsubo performance exhaust of Civic Euro R.

Even in best-case scenario, the performance gain is < 3BHP and as with all changed exhaust, this performance came at the expense of higher RPM, translating into higher FC, real-world performance is < 0.1s gain. The biggest difference is the exhaust noise louder > 6db in some cases. The weight saved from these performance exhausts helps, then again, you could just remove spare tyre to save equal weight and the money. It definitely looks nicer though, and remember the spec sheets from these manufacturers are best-scenario version always. Save the money to buy a performance car better...

Installing a performance exhaust on performancs car like the twin turbo GT-R makes big difference, gaining almost 20bhp.
