Fridge not cold

My LG fridge can top up gas.. Just did it recently. Around $180 by LG agent. Private contractor may charge cheaper.

Our GE fridge [now 14yrs] had similar problems when 7yrs old, not cold.

Tried to dismantled some internal duct/panel to check blower fan operation. Blower fan is working, but there was no air circulation from freezer down to fridge section. A certain portion of freezer cold air is supposed to be diverted down for the fridge cooling.

Believed some ice blockage in the channel between freezer and fridge section. [the few days earlier, we had siblings over for gathering, and I believed unusually lots of opening of fridge door caused too much external humidity to enter the fridge and formed ice blockage. Few yrs ago, my niece fridge was also not cold. Again, they had a friends gathering at their home.]

Turned off, doors left open for 24hrs for the ice blockage to melt down.

After that everything is back to normal, and still operational today. Hope it can go on well.

Think older fridges more durable. I have one mitsubishi fridge almost 20 years old already. Still working. Nowadays just leave it in the store. Only take out during CNY when need more fridge space.

You mean the item was an old model or the item itself looks old (like put in warehouse very long already...) ?

we orderd some items for my grandma house and some to my house. her delivery earlier as i was still waiting to shift into my place.

dent on fridge, scratches on fan, the info booklet is not original for some things. it looks used or maybe display set. thus we suspected something not right.

after her delivery, we requested for refund and at the same time cancelled the order for my own place.

the only good thing that came out of it is they agreed to 100% refund. this i give them credit.

my experience from this store had been v good. I started buying from them 4 years ago. most of my household items are from there. and my stuff is all brand new, because they are delivered by the distributor themselves, not from Mega discount store.

and i only go back to the same sales guy every time i wan to buy. he knows me pretty well by now.

anyway, i only go to United Square branch, to the same sales guy.

You can try adjusting the 2 front feet so that the doors can swing close under their own weight.
