Well said. If they pay themselves million dollar PAP ministerial salaries (the highest paid in the whole world) they cannot give this kinda s--t excuse. THEY ARE EXPECTED TO HAVE 20/20 VISION.

But hey u dont need 20/20 vision to foresee what happens if u mass import FTs as citizens into a small shitty island.

But the worst culprits are the 60% of walking zombies who re-elect them year after year!!!

Can't say that bro. PAP is the one giving them ang baos and superficial benefits every year, that gets wiped out by inflation anyway, tricking them into voting. We have to make hell lot of noise to wake up these people so we can vote for the best next GE. Those who are awake now have a job to do.

Planning for infrastructure is not only confined to public transport and housing. What about the schools and job employments? How many of us locals have kids who cannot enter good schools and uni cos the vacancies are taken up by immigrants? How many locals have to send their kids to overseas universities because there are not enough vacancies here? What about those who cannot afford to send their kids overseas- confined to a bleak future here? Are there enough job opportunities here to support the population? Where are the office space to provide such employment? 30 years down the road, these 6 million locals and immigrants are also going to grow old- same aging population problems as now but worse. Will there be space and facilities to take care of this bigger wave of silver tsunami then? Do we really enjoy living in an overcrowded environment and do we want to give birth to bring children, despite all baby incentives, into this same environment not knowing if things will turn for the better? And I have not even started on the potential social issues to which a constant inflow of immigrants will create because time is not permitted for assimilation.

We need more than affordable housing and an extensive MRT rail system that takes 20 years to complete. We need quality of life and not be reduced to a mere statistic in GDP growth.

And we need quality leaders....... [:(] Not those with only high price tags demanding high salaries but cannot deliver.

You don't need 20/20 foresight when you are the one controlling the inflow of foreigners.

Unless you are not controlling the inflow at all, then that's negligence.

So if they don't know or don't realise, then it's negligence.

If they know, then the lack of 20/20 is just an excuse.
