Sorry but how about other brands like Korean made Aurora? I used it for 2 years & still good. Vatra made in Germany version also good but difficult to get German made now. Was advised by battery supplier not to buy licensee-made Vatra. Good luck.

driving a lancer glx and using an amaron 60ah for 2.5 years liao. got a battery bug fixed to the battery directly and showed me power still got 69%. Guess i will drive till 3 years then changed to another amaron again. But i guess the most important thing to a lasting battery is to use the battery solely for starting engine and not switched on air con and other stuff when starting engine. :D

Higher CCA better fr SG also. Easier to start on cold mornings.

I agree with you man.. CCA is good and carries a lot of benefits compared to SG.. Im using this for my car now :DD

My initial flat was experienced after 3 days of constant raining and not using the car.

Higher cca is not really important since the rating is done on cold temperature, the important is reserve capacity which will differentiate how much power you have after the battery is drained by parasite consumption if you have many accessories.

For car seldom being driven, wet battery always lose out to hybrid or dry due to self discharge rate is higher.

If you drive everyday especially long distance, wet battery can last longer due to withstand heat better than dry battery.

Hi Bro,

I need to change my battery again. I prefer wet cell and current one is bought from Tat Lee at Lavendar.

Anyone knows if any shop in west or north selling wet cell batteries? I roam around today but couldn't find any. If really no choice, then I will go back to Tat Lee

Thanks

Just bought the AMARON 35AH at ACE batt n tyres for $85. Saw others got it at $75!!

Got mine @ $80. Hope it lasts more than 2 years...

So far, all batts used can't last beyond 2 yrs.

First 2 wet cells from AD are crap! Slightly more than a year and keeps running flat.

3rd batt using Bosch 38AH, almost reaching 2 yr before first flat.

Now 4th one and hope it can 'tong' till scrape in 3 yrs time...

Try Lee Hup Battery Service @ 176 Sin Ming Drive, #03-03. I bought an Amaran battery from Paul Hoe Battery in Ubi but since Ubi closed down, I went to Sin Ming. Lee Hup did not recommend Amaran to me cos he said it is no longer from Germany & thus not equally good. Seems like a straight talking guy but I can't vouch for his recommendations. Sometimes retailers just sell what gives them max profit and I don't mean to put him in this category. Just cautious. Good luck.
