if you going for lighter rim, go for original rim if budget allowed, not replica. the volk rim if original should be lighter than the wedsportr- not sure about replica. Original is best & it is made in Japan with good QC and R&D to made it safe for long lasting usage.

Not sure what is the weight diff. I guess these 2 rims are the lightest in the budget level.

Not sure if it is a concern to you but TE37SL do not come in 15" (min 17") and it is a dead giveaway no matter how real it looks.

'Replica' is mention in the link.

To TS,

If you use a 15", you probably do not drive a sports car, unless you have a mini....so just get ones that you think looks nicer. I highly doubt the differences in weight will means much in acceleration or fuel economy. Just saying.

Not money to go for original la .. So still considering between these 2

You should just go and pick up each rim with your hand and feel for urself. Once i even bring a weighing scale. Anyway when i was buying original 18" rims and i was choosing between advan, wedssport and rays that is also what i did. Use hand. Even within the same brand can have quite big weight difference. For eg. WS Sa-- was way lighter than SA67.

For the weds replica, one look you can tell... it cheapens the look of your car. Design wise, good taste ( I'm on SA67 [:p] ).

For the TE replica, it looks closer to the authentic so if you die die wanna choose between these 2, go for TE - less of an embarrassment

Both are replica rims tho... I'm not so sure if you should even consider them [rolleyes] .... It may conpromise your safety if ever, s--t hits the fan.

15" go for enkei [thumbsup]

very light one

would choose Enkei over replica any time.

but after tasting real Volks & Wedsport I keep the thought as backup.

If budget constrained, Enkei would be my choice, love the RPF1. ^_^

Yes I am aware that the rim is a replica but my point being is the replica has shamelessly printed Volk racing and Rays logo onto the rim and people are going to tell its a complete rip-off like a Toyota Harrier putting on the Lexus Logo. As compared to the wed sport design, at least it bothered to print its own logo and design.

And even for a 15" rim, weight makes a big difference especially for a lower powered car even when its just 1kg difference.

Here is a reference for the weight of originals and maybe you can use them to make an inference to the comparison of the replicas but it will not be 100% accurate due to the material and manufacturing technique used.

That only applies if you are getting 17" and above. Like I mentioned to TS before, this model only come minimum at 17" and buying the 15" replica will be a dead give away without even needing to go near to inspect the rim. Isn't this much worse than getting the weds replica? [rolleyes]

Being able to spot it as a replica right across the street vs standing close to see the RS2 wordings on the replica weds.

Try fitting 16" wheels on ur Fn2 and see if you will say not much worse? [laugh]

How much is original enkei for 15in?

Depends on model i suppose. You may browse model you like from enkei.com and check with local distributor YHI for stock and pricing.

Replica may compromise in quality.

Offset may also not be accurate.

However, its still ok if you using it to beautify n no hardcore driving. I used to be replica before I switched to original. No regrets.
