Quick check on the pricing, how come lexus460 cost more expensive than S class mercs?

PM's ls460 latest model, borneo selling it near 1/2M bucks,

TT car facelifted s class, it could be anything from 2009 onwards. so the price most likely less. And moreover model due for a total change, ie the all new s class out in 1/2yr. So it's an end of the last model S class.

His Father L.K.Y. also like Lexus,i remembered about 10 years back,he went to Japan,L.K.Y. told the Japanese's press how good Japanese cars are,no problem,he also told them,in the 70-80's his favourite cars are the Mercedes Benz,but no more now,too much problems....so he switch to Lexus[Personal car].

Ls will always be more ex than 7 series or s class cos lexus benchmark their car above these 2, including bigger engine capacity, more features and options as well as best seat at the back for the boss

I always feel that no matter how good lexus is, afterall it is still a toyota. Like you are paying 2-3 times price just to buy a toyota which i migt as well go buy a BMW or mercs?!

i read a book called "The Lexus Story" which was published in 2005. when the brand started out, it did a survey and decided that they should targeted current mercedes owners. because these owners, having already established themselves with a mercedes, were in less need of social status affirmation. they could then afford to go for the real quality products, which Lexus sought to offer (and the LS400 was a remarkable effort).

By right president status should be higher than PM, so he should sit bigger car. By left PM here has higher power than president, so maybe that's why PM sit a bigger car than president!?

 

Anyway PM gave Pres his job so the PM is the Pres boss what.

But nothing beats the 3 pointed star n blue roundel for class. Better yet is the RR n B symbols.

SP 1 I forget. Ty keep changing I think.

 

And just 1 is a special BMW 7 series(bullet proof) used by visiting dignitaries who need extra protection like those from the Middle East eg: King of Jordan, Isreal PM etc.

I think the crest is only fr those big official functions.

 

Normal function it has a No. President also has his personal car( without special No. plate) which he also use fr personal outings n use. But usually wil b escorted by the white XC90 or similar.

 

I think president official car its SEP 1 if Im not wrong.

 

I see so many till I forget who use what.

Yes quite a few I spoke to also say the same. Plus the classy feel n look of the Merc n BMW is more than what the Lexus can bring.

True. No need say so much, based on the car key, merc very solid while lexus very ugly. BMW ok and Audi is nice. Merc is the best among these 4

yep.Pres is SEP1. S1 is only used for events.not just for PM. u mean the old white 7 series?
