With expected drop of COE due to current situation, it is still wise to buy a used car or Coe renewed car?

Sorry bro. Only a carrot head will put a deposit down before a test drive.

Doesn't matter if "refundable".

Doesn't matter if reputable or even if major AD.

Borneo Motors demanded 10k before allowing test drive of their new Supra. I told them to go fly kite. 😂

(Actually what I really wanted them to do was to go f**k spiders. 🤣)

Hi to you all bought a used car from Premier 8 Kaki Bukit ave 4 #07-xx after test drive the car overheat, the dealer say he will do it for me. but the day i go and collect the car was already warmed up but i sensed something fishy so i ask the dealer for 1 week warranty and he says ok. but after driving the car for one day only, the whole engine overheat again. i call to tell him that I will send the car to his garage for checking. they say maybe gasket burnt and need to remove and check. But today when i collect the car, the dealer says has to share half of the total bill.

lesson learned, never collect the car when it's hot.

Please be careful if you are buying car from him, at your Risk

What car u brought and what price? Renewed COE car? Or used car? So end up you spend how much for the repair?

If car everything OK after that, just get over and enjoy the ride. First timer buying used vehicle likely will face this issue. That why I hesitate to buy COE car....

I went to Car times recently to sign up the promotion of full COE rebate package. In the end, LTA announced postponed the bidding. They submitted the loan not approved yet, I requested to refund the deposit of $100 and replied is forfeited. Although is just $100 but is that right? Need anyone advice, thanks

Time to unleash the cat....meow meow

Joke aside, just wait for the next bidding. Or, does the contract says no refund or what so ever?

Go read up what you signed first.

Almost $6K a year for a renewed COE car is very expensive.

Those 5 yr COE renewals are very costly in annual dep but many go for it as the purchase price is lower than the 10 year COE renewals. Not a wise decision when PARF is already forgone with the renewal.

You can get a Nissan Sylphy with new 10 yr COE at only $4,800 annual dep

I will try not to recommend the Perodua Bezza, although it's going at an all time low $53,999 brand new, COE inclusive, in the online sale now. 😁   Not everyone's cup of tea. 😀

Im a newbie here. Some questions to ask all the pro here. Sending of the used car to STA, Vicom or AA for evaluation. Do I have to make deposit for the car first or dun need? If yes how much is the reasonable deposit?

The dealer will book the booking under my name or their company name? Do they get the result of the report too?

Car that still under warranty by AD, like used 3 years car, also need send for evaluation?
