Titaniumr Neutral Newbie August 30, 2013 Share August 30, 2013 Beware of Optima Werkz- A Fraud and Theft Company for Car Servicing and Repairs Bought a BMW 325 from kruise auto from megamart 3 months ago Warranty by Optima Werkz After 1 month the start to have some issue, called kruise auto they ask me to sent to optima werkz. Sent in immediately and was handle by Sky after few hours of checking they called me up and tell me the parts damage is not under warranty and requires to pay. Reluctantly we proceed and I paid 1 month later the car have similar problem. Called kruise auto again and they ask me to go back optima werkz. So no choice since my car is under the warranty I have to go back if not the warranty will be void. I went back look for sky and he immediately told me its wear and tear not covered under warranty. I was pissed off cos he have not even checked. So I ask him to check what is wrong and let me know. 7 hours later they called me up to pick up the car so I went and was slap with a $1800 bills. I argue with sky as he has not quoted me and go ahead with the repair. I refuse to pay and he threaten not to release the car. We argue for 20 mins and he told me " since you drive a bmw and got no money to pay then out of good will I will discount $300 for you" I was very angry I went to the counter paid the full sums $1800 and I went off. Its not about the money but its the principle. I called kruise auto to complaint about the issue and I want to change warranty company but I was brush away by the sales manager. I know I have bought a lemon and now I understand how this whole deals work. Maybe it just that I'm very fussy but I feel I should tell you guys and you guys can gauge if its me or its the dealer or if its the workshop Hope you guys dun encounter anything like me when u buy a car! Reu, my learning is non agent warranty will always have such issues. PI cars included. Though they have a booklet that outlines what they cover, anything that falls into the grey area is not under warranty. In short other that agent cars, there is no warranty. ↡ Advertisement

Lemon Law applies to used cars bought from used car dealers. You should go back to kruise and deal with them.
Contipro 5th Gear September 2, 2013 Share September 2, 2013 Hi, I may be newbie here. But after reading thru this forum from part 1 to part 2, I feel we all as consumers should work together to list out all the blacklist dealers and also the workshop. We want to make known to these dishonest dealers and workshop people, please practice fair business. You may cheat us once, but spread of news will stop hundreds of potential customers. Comment on Optima Werkz, here I have another reference (see below link) how they tried to con consumer into changing unnecessary parts. http://www.shc-forum.com/viewtopic.php?p=2...6fa701a11e79598 Please beware, advise all to get 2nd opinion from other workshop, or if you like to have cheaper repairing cost please visit to Johor (but still have to practice awareness , checking price first before commit any repairing work.). just a piece of advise. Strongly suggest you read up on the Lemon Law. You are covered for all these. BTW, the warranty is the car dealer buying to insure himself having to pay for defects discovered during the 6 months after delivery where he is required by law to repair at his cost. Jaymz21 Neutral Newbie September 17, 2013 Share September 17, 2013 Guys, Wonder if authorized distributors will provide used car evaluation services. They would know their cars the best, wouldn't they? Rather than go to AAS or Vicom or STA. Even the checks at a pro-"make" workshop might not be thorough or exhaustive enough. Eric4285 2nd Gear September 17, 2013 Share September 17, 2013 3rd party warranty is definitely less comprehensive than Agent, Its not rocket science. How much does it cost to insure a Used Car 100%??? I believe Optima or others definitely have a booklet to Outline what they covers and don't. Its due diligence on the consumers part to read up. Of course there could be some jargons or grey areas that could always be contested with CASE if no amicable resolution could be found. False representation of the Coverage could be a headache as some consumers might take salesman's word for word. Eg: Dun worry the XXX warranty will cover u all parts & labours for 1yr on top of Lemon Law. I mean seriously...??? As for me i always bargain down $ the car i like and use the DIFF $ as standby funds for minor repairs. (wear & tear) Lemon Law and test drive plus own judgement is good enuff for me. If not can always sent AA,STA or VICOM. Not happy report can always dun buy. Juz my 2 cents.
Xienqi Neutral Newbie September 29, 2013 Share September 29, 2013 Did not visit forum for quite awhile as have been busy with new job and settling back into Singapore. I was based in China for the past 11 years. I am amused at the allegation of me being a troll. Its interesting to know that there are all kinds of people out there. Well, its been more than 2 months since I bought my XC90. I must say that the only thing I am not happy is the petrol consumption. I know that this will be high but not prepared for this high. $116 of esso 5000 gets me 350km!!! As I said before, I used to buy only used cars before but that was long long time ago. Of course things were cheaper then. I guess after reading the contributions on this forum, I am rather lucky with my car. As I am now looking for a second car for my wife, I now face the same stress again. I went back to Dcars but they did not have what I am looking for. I made offer at Motor East and Hin Loong last week but both were rejected. Seems like the max discount you can get from the advertised price is about 5-6K. Anyway no rush so will wait and see. Warthog Clutched September 29, 2013 Share September 29, 2013 XC90 is a guzzler. I got a few friends driving this car too. I don't think you can expect 9-10km per litre for this car or even 8 km per litre for urban drive. My sympathies if you didn't know or were misled.
