there are those converters that will convert your car socket to a 3 pin 13amp socket ... but i am guessing its gonna whack your battery like mad !!

Most of the vehicles cigarette socket is rated at max 10amp @ 12volt dc = 120watt power output. Rectify to 220volt DC, the max amp = 0.54amp So you if wish to use an inverter that is more than 120watt output , connect the device directly to the battery.

If you are looking for these converters, I recommend a Belkin brand one which comes with a on-off switch, a cooling fan and shuts itself down when overheated or something.

2 outlets ( front console and rear) 1100w output.

 

But I usually use the plug in portable DC-AC convertor.
