99% will be.

Even Swiss watches are made in China and those exotic intricate paintings on dials are hand crafted by Chinese artisans.

The day the Chinese stop cheating on materials and workmanship, Japan and German will be doomed!

You mean lolex made in China with PRC craftmanship?

The only maglev line in the world is made in Germany le.

Last time, my company... always start to call me/urgent email me at 5 pm when I am starting to pack up for the day.

Nobody works at 5.  It must be ghost mail

It might not make money just like the ones in Taiwan and in many countries.... but well who cares if those up there want to burn their money....

hsr

It really depends on what the agenda that this organization is trying to push. I see there are many advantages of HSR. It promotes cross state or country commerce.

Just like the NRA, you expect them to tell you disadvantages of having a gun?

This website is very bias in it's own rights.

How much time save between flying & HSR?  i believe no more than 1hr point to point.

Cost even worse.  Budget airlines already so cheap.  How does HSR gonna beat it?

departure and immigration should be faster than the airport, arrive in KL sentral save the transfer from KLIA. i would say 1 hr saving via HSR.

plus if they are situating the HSR terminal far from the City  center itself, there will still be the same problem as KL airport transport...

The taxis are daylight robbery there.

I think the journey is supposed to be 90 mins. And I reckon the time before departure and afterwards to city will be a lot quicker than the current scenario with KLIA being so effing far away.

Given a choice between train or plane... I prefer the train.

More than just time savings .. there can certainly be more frequent train schedules than flights. One can board virtually any time of the day with minimal planning like taking MRT or bus. If you tried the HSR in Japan or China or Taiwan you know, its very convenient. It can also serve local cities in between, budget airline cannot compare in this respect. Whether or not it will make a huge difference to the economy, depends .. we are after all still two countries, not one country.

unless they build 2 lines, if not will be to and flo which will be 2-3 trip a day.

actually there are already many flights from various airline a day to KL.

https://www.gov.sg/news/content/singapore-kl-high-speed-rail-project-kicks-off-with-mou-signing-on-tuesday

Within Singapore, unless 1 stays in the west, it will take 45mins to arrive 1 hour before departure time.  That's 1 hr 45 mins.

Within KL, it will take you 1hr to travel from Bandar Malaysia (somewhere in Sungai Besi i think) to anywhere in KL.

Total time = 4hr 15mins

======================

Flight time = 45 mins

Leave home 2hrs before flight departure.

KLIA -> Sentral = 30mins

Sentral to anywhere in KL = 30mins

Total time = 3hrs 45 mins

It will always be dual track like our MRT.
