What's wrong with M1 today?

For all with no service, try turning on airplane mode and turn it off again.

Can get network... but not sure can last for how long though.

and till now, it is still not rectified...why has it taken so long? there is no prompt updates on what is happening...

Looks like its west area kena. I was in west area and suffered this problem. Now I'm at novena, no problem at all

this morning at Harbour Front cannot surf internet or read email, this evening when I @ harbour Front again, still cannot. I also thought my phone got problem till I reach home then see can use 3G to surf internet. 8 Hours still cannot resolve, I wonder how come? All FTs who only know how to smoke then real problem come, cannot solve?

M1 posted an update on their facebook page less than 30 min ago. Already gather more than 700 comments [sweatdrop]

M1 is not quite honest in their press release! They claimed that only South-Western parts of Singapore, namely West Coast, Jurong and Tuas areas are affected, but the fact is, even northern Singapore, namely CCK, Yishun were affected.

 

The problem is not only on their 3G service. Their 2G service is not working as well, even basic phone/sms service is unstable... When I was at Jurong east, I switch to 2G but there is no internet connection, and after a while, the signal went to 3 /5 bar and I suddently received 5 sms, 3 was informing me that there were 2 miss call, 3 were message from client. When I tried to return call, the service is gone again....

Maybe the vendor is sleepy at 3 am and accidentally press the fire alarm switch. [laugh]

 

Most likely the engineer decided to take a smoke break in the equipment room thereby triggering the sprinkler system.
