Dear all.

Just now in the afternoon i called a garanguni up to take away my old TV set and he saw my bar counter, he expressed interest in my dad's very old liquor bottles like the martell cordon bleu, henessy etc...

Those bottles are about 30 years old and he straight away open price $200 and wanted to buy it. They are actually quite useless to me as they are for display purposes but i said no. He is extremely persistent and start saying some stories like his father is sick and need it to make some medication and s--t. I know he is obviously lying and continued saying no. He held the bottle so tightly and insist that i sell him. he then raised the price to $250 and i sold him.

His over interest caused me to be suspicious as to the value of the bottle and i suspect he might be able to sell it for like more than twice the price ???

So i was just posting here to see if there's anyone who is experienced in this field can enlighten me.

Thank you !!

can only say that he definitely won't be making a loss, he's a businessman.

and if he were looking for medication he would have a more proactive solution instead of hunting house to house.

Are the liquor bottles still with the liquor or just the glass bottles? opened or sealed?

if new unopened on the market can fetch a high price.

Spoken to some karang Guni that they sell to collectors so they can top up new liquor and sell it off at a premium.

I presume the karang guni is a PRC?

My old LG one 29 inches fat one (CRT) TV only fetch $20. The garang guni said depending on brand. Maybe yours is Sony so more expensive. So lucky you.

BTW, don't try PRC Garang Guni, that time i sold 3 big packets of clothes and some newspapers, he use his hands and "weigh" and give me $2 only.

Then few months later, i sold 2 packets of clothes and newspapers, i got $8. This Singaporean Garang Guni, he used the "weighing scale" to weigh one.

The above incidents happened 2 years ago and from that day onwards. I don't sell to PRC anymore. It is very easy to identify. If the guy just stand at level 1 press the "honk" and shout Garang Guni, most probably they are PRC, they are too lazy to walk floor by floor. Usually walking floors by floors one is Singaporean.

Now then i know hard liquor can fetch so much, i'll ask my dad to sell away.

thanks.
