macrosszero Turbocharged January 3, 2013 Share January 3, 2013 The UK is more vulnerable now than it was before - they have only one actual aircraft carrier, one helicopter carrier but all their Harriers have been retired. If the Islands were taken it may be impossible to retake them without significant air and naval units.

TVT Supercharged January 3, 2013 Share January 3, 2013 Nowadays, its not really about the type of weapon each have to win a war. Its more of UN or international pressure or sanctions which can make the outcome. UK has since been weaken by its involvement in Iraq and Afganistan, so if really war breaks out, UK may not win this time...unless NATO steps in, IMO. Altivo 3rd Gear January 4, 2013 Share January 4, 2013 (edited) i think Argentina is just distracting their own people from their own domestic issues. Afterall, Argentina underwent a sovereign default The best way is always to drum up something related to nationalism. The_Bear Turbocharged January 4, 2013 Share January 4, 2013 Argentina got no money to fund any war lah. Unless the Falkland islands got gold dan maybe it's worth fighting for but it doesn't. Most likely potential offshore resources. A war will be too costly for both sides but England will be more resolute and committed. The defense of Falklands has been beefed up substantially since the last war when England was caught off guard. I have a feeling that the UN will be behind England when the shooting starts. Overall, i don't think there will be anything too adventurous from the Argies after their last attempt ended with a black eye.
Celicar Turbocharged January 4, 2013 Share January 4, 2013 Whatever it is, wan to fight then just fight, dun talk talk talk talk talk, make everything so uncertain. If dun wan to fight, then just shut up and move on. Stir halfway is the WORST. ↡ Advertisement
