Adrianli Hypersonic January 3, 2013 Share January 3, 2013 Highest bidder does not necessary will win a tender. Ppl should be looking at other aspects other than the $$$.
Darryn Turbocharged January 3, 2013 Share January 3, 2013 Anyway, the package price of $176k vs $192k is not that big a difference. Second top tenderer won - would need to see a whole lot more evidence before coming to any sort of conclusion that something is wrong.
Shull Turbocharged January 3, 2013 Share January 3, 2013 Highest bidder does not necessary will win a tender. Ppl should be looking at other aspects other than the $$$. Well, the highest bidder happened to be the current (or was the current) operator.. and have all the equipments and prior relevant experience in running the river cruise.. Darryn Turbocharged January 3, 2013 Share January 3, 2013 Well, the highest bidder happened to be the current (or was the current) operator.. and have all the equipments and prior relevant experience in running the river cruise.. Nope - the current operator was the LOWEST tenderer - the highest tenderer (at $101k and $91k, which I assume to be two separate components of the tender) was the Trolley Bus company - not the current Duck / Hippo Tours

Damienic 5th Gear January 3, 2013 Share January 3, 2013 Well, the highest bidder happened to be the current (or was the current) operator.. and have all the equipments and prior relevant experience in running the river cruise.. Precisely. Highest bidder and having all prior relevant experience in running the operations. These are two critical factors. If both factors are to be overruled, what are the other important factors at play? Does Yellow Pages whom reportedly won the bid have relevant experience in running such operations? Damienic 5th Gear January 3, 2013 Share January 3, 2013 Maybe they looking at newer boats and better services rather than status quo??? what is the reason that gives them the confidence that Yellow Pages can be better equipped to provide better services than Hippo?
