Go to Li Hong Auto if you live in the west. I just did my 20K service there, usual oil change including ATF change. All material mine. Only paid them for labour. No black face from the boss Ah Ho.

Thanks Beehive3783 for sharing. May I know what is the cost of labor and the actual location or contact? Many thanks in advance.

$20 for oil change

$10 for spark plug change

$20 for ATF change

Please do a search for his address. I know how to go but I don't have his address.

Don't expect world class facilities. Only service your car there if it's a mainstream jap or korean model. That's my advice for you.

Sorry to hijack thread as I'm a newbie here. Can anyone advise why my 05 altis has been giving poor fuel economy consistently for the last 6 months? I send it in for regular servicing at BM but feel like going elsewhere because I am dissatisfied with their diagnosis and service. Fuel economy has been around 10km/L whereas long ago it was at least 12km/L. The car has roughly 135K mileage. There are no leaks, spark plugs are working well and tyres are kept in optimum pressure. My driving syle has not changed but fuel economy is very poor and the car feels like it is struggling to move, unresponsive and no power.

if you are staying near Thomson area, you can consider going to this ws, inside Caltex station, along upper thomson road. this Caltex is together with Mobil and Shell stations together in one row.

i go there myself, after recommendation from MCF. The prices are decent, no chop carrot.

Poor fc after some time got many reasons. Chk yr 4 wheel alignment. Brakes not binding. Reset ecu. Wrong spark plugs. Dirty air filter. Fuel leak somewhere. Engine oil too thick or overfill. Atf too old or overfill.

So many things to check.

Guys hv i left out anything? Maybe u can add here.

Thanks for your advice. Will probably bring to one of the recommended workshop for checkup. Considering engine and atf flush as well.

Engine flush i never done. Never seen a need. Sometimes after flush might hv leaks. Cud b due to e strong chemicals ty use to flush.

Atf now i dun flush anymore. I just drain n fill every 10k km a few times till i see e atf drain out a nice cherry red then i only drain n fill every 30-40k km after that just to keep it fresh.

Just use e correct n good quality oil n atf is most important.

Dun go fr additives n gimmicks which might give u more problems later.
