Turbocharged

Sorry I mean roll my feet, I sit down and put the golf ball under the feet, and kept rolling. It helps a lot.

Actually, i find cycling takes up a lot of time to burn.. not sure if my perception is right. I heard my colleague spend 1-2 hrs cycling. Can't afford the time. For me 40 mins of jog is good enough liao.

Jog n PF will stick with u.. also knee will seong.. me now only swim and cycle.. a bit Long but it’s ok.. a bit of tennis also good but damn the rain @Radx

Quite consistent with my own wear pattern and past injuries.

This wear pattern has been bugging me for a long time. It's the common outer heel wear and inner forefoot area. The thing is I have this same wear on my walking shoes. The walking shoes worn off makes sense, as I land on the heel while walking, but not for running. The strange thing is my pair of Newton running shoes also has the same wear pattern. The design of shoes makes you forestrike because of the raised lugs located near the ball of the foot. So by right should have minimal wear at the heel for that Newton shoes, but it's not.

I have a suspicious that the short distance I walked to my start point is wearing more outsole rubber than the 10km run.

It's unlikely the walk since the impact force is many times smaller than running. I'll try the strengthening exercises to see if it helps to prevent those injuries.

Another possible reason for such wear pattern on these neutral shoes like ours is that the heel portion maybe be built less durable since they are designed as mid/fore foot strike ones.? So when I run downslope, I do heelstrikes to slow down.

Even if you land fore/mid foot first, your heel will follow and hit the ground next right?  Unless your heel never touch the ground for the duration of your run, there will be wear

The mystery is why heel wears out faster than the mid/fore foot areas. The follow through of the heel from mid/fore foot would have lesser impact from landing. Maybe shock absorbing mechanism is better when one lands forefoot...so less wear?

Today, my new Nike Pegasus 35 had it's outer worn off till the mid sole exposed. 177km only. Why the heel wear is faster.

Side note, this nike pagasus's outsole material is not very durable. Other brand minimum 300 km to see the midsole exposed.

Yes it does.. But I don't think that the heel impact should not be as severe as the fore foot landing. But this is the closest explanation.

I have a new pair of P35 too. Sole seems similar to that of my current pair of P35 which is quite hard wearing.

I will let you know if mine wears out fast in few months time 😀
