This could probably be one of those things for me to leave it be. Don't use the pocket very much though, and right now i've kinda stuffed it pack into the seam.

No harm asking how much it costs. At least you know and can budget for it if it really bothers you.  

 

That is pretty detailed indeed. What is the rationale for turning on the electronics first? Also, I surmise that you too turn off your AC before killing the engine? 4) is also going to be an issue since there's a camera plugged in.

Italian electronics - that's all I'm gonna say. Think of it like a boot-up sequence for the ECU to communicate with all the sensors throughout the Bravo (and there are quite a few) and ensure everything is OK before you crank the engine and start having it take care of the air intake, A/F ratio, etc.

Turning off the A/C is a good habit to avoid having too many things starting at the same time.

 

Just set the camera cut-off for the battery at 12.3V is my advice at this point.  

 

So that's actually the problem - the A/C is cold when i drive  - i set it between 20 and 22 degrees as well, but when i go into idle, such as when I have parked but am still doing some stuff in the car, the aircon continues to blow air which isn't cold - to the extent that i notice it go warm.

Take the mechanic out for a spin and let him experience it. Perhaps a gas top-up is all she needs.

Do you guys have a hook sort of thing attached to the air con vents on the driver side? I have one which is hindering me from turning the vents to face me, and I don't see how to remove it without actually breaking the thing. It not something uncommon, just wondering if it's something that the previous owner fit in.

A photo would help - but I do not have any hooks on my driver side A/C vent.

 

By the way, your have to know that the design of the Bravo's air conditioning air-flow is unique.

1. The two centre aircon vents are intended for the front passengers and general cooling.
2. The side aircon vents are intended to channel air through the sides for the rear passengers
3. The rear blower in the centre console is intended for the middle rear passenger and general cooling.

Also note that your centre console has a deep cubby space that is cooled by the A/C. Helps to keep your cold water bottle chilled. Or a bottle of vino - but don't be drinking from it.

yes set it at 12.4/5 V at this point in time. Certainly would rather not have night recording than have to change the battery.

I certainly hope so. Apparently the previous dude hadn't serviced the aircon at all for the whole time he owned it - not his fault of course, i reckon his regular mechanic should've taken car of that. And this is a well known mechanic for servicing italian non luxury makes here in sg.

Yes i noticed that too. Tried to put a long water bottle in today and it won't fit. Looks like i'll have to be drinking my water out of a wine bottle now But that's amazing information. Completely impractical in so far as SG is concerned, but very interesting. Also the cup holders. Not so much of a holder, more like a rest - must be made for picolo lattes et al.

 

Re air con - ok, i see. Interesting that the side vents are meant for the rear passengers, too. Please see photo for clip, the arrowed portion is where is clipping to the back of the vent.

What are some of the accessories you've gotten for your ride? Wondering if there's a boot tray of sorts. Tao Bao returned nil results.

Nothing much to be perfectly honest.

 

Just a $2 hook from Daiso to hang food. Very handy and helpful.

 

I have a boot organizer that I got for free from Autobacs back when they had some promotion and using that to put wet groceries in.

 

That's pretty much it.

Looks like we're similar in that sense. Don't like too many ding-dongs around the car which are wholly impractical. Hence hating the random stickers the previous guy pasted on the car haha.

What are the recommendations solution beside going for car servicing.

 

Once a blue moon P1120 which I don't understand why... Even mech can't seem to find the solution.

On a side note, friends, on your Bravo does the cigarette lighter/power point come with a cover of sorts? Mine's completely exposed, strangely brought over the old one from the previous car and it didn't fit perfectly.

It is supposed to have a "lighter" attachment as depicted below.

 

Likely that the previous owner removed it to plug in his charger and misplaced it. Hence a "lobang" left behind for you. Just plug in your charger in lieu of that.

Almost everything Italian is its own standard.

 

So be prepared. Thankfully regular perishables like wiper blades are still conforming to global standard sizes.

Was driving in the rain today and found that my front windows fogged up badly. Not sure if because of the vents in the A-frame; do you have this problem?

No la. You can just buy the silicon wiper refills from Autobacs and never have to spend another cent on wiper replacements anymore.

 

Like i mentioned in earlier post (I think) - this is a known (common) problem and can be fixed at Alfa Sportivo for less than $40.

The catch that controls the flaps for air direction is broken, and hence cold air is being pumped at the windscreen. In Europe, this is helpful to warm the windscreen during winter so as to maintain driver visibility.

It's not, and now i'm embarrassed haha. But really its from the simple reason that i've never used it in my life. On my previous car (the honda city) it was always using the rubber types, for which the clips are pretty standard - easily avail at petrol kiosks. 

 

What are the benefits of silicon wiper blades over rubber? They don't harden under harsh weather? That said, is the clip actually a standard-type clip, i.e., if i wanted to, would i be able to buy them at a petrol kiosk?

Right now I set the airflow to only come out through the centre vent, and there a - tiny - bit of fogging at the base of the windscreen so thats ok. I would say not sure regarding off-the-shelf wiper blade fitment - for I merely removed the original worn rubber blades from my Bravo frame, and slid the new silicon ones into them 7 years ago. Have not had to change ever since.

 

Side windows? You need to close off or lower the side blower vents then.
