AIM Chairman S Chandra Das said the company's current directors, three former People's Action Party (PAP) MPs, namely himself, Chew Heng Ching, and Lau Ping Sum do not receive directors' fees or any other benefits.

--------------------------------

So who in the first place funded the purchase of the software and where does the profit goes to?

I am also interested what have AIM done since they set up, I am talking about real world application & work. or did they just been set up?

Shouldn't being ex PAP MPs considered a conflict of interest & cannot bid?

Anyway, I did a search on Google, & CANNOT find a webpage for the company? Anyone have a link to their home page?

Don't expect any info on a $2 company with rented address.

i wonder the sell & lease back scheme to AIM is approved by "higher" authority than mr. teo

The deal involved the sale of software, while the ownership of hardware remained with all the town councils,

Teo Ho Pin, coordinating chairman of the 14 PAP town councils, said.

I smell rat

The deal seem too good to be true. What fishy was 5 forms was collected but only one submitted. Perhaps PAP should explain what the criteria of their selections, which companies collected the form and business logic of selling the software only to leaseback the same product from the very company it was sold to. Surely raising fund for TC wasn't a good reason as the system was sold only for a mere $140K.

Just cannot understand a few things.

Firstly, why would any third party want to buy a Town Council Management software, that are design for Town Council?

Why people will want to buy a software, but the hardware supposedly need to run it, is not sold. Its like I buy an xbox game, but if I wanted to play the game, I have to go to the shop & play it on their xbox?

Why would someone sell something that they needed to use? Would you sell your car, then lease it every month from who you sell it, during all this time, your car is in your garage?

Even if you say, you need someone to maintain your car, in your garage for that matter, you could just hire someone to do so.

Also, wasn't AIm directors made up of some ex PAP members? No conflict of interest?

Can someone explain my question.

What's there to explain? Isn't it obvious enough?

I remember this issue arose when Mike Palmer and his scandal crept up. The next day news front page was then the negative town council report on aljunied which we all know was to deflect bad attention back to WP instead of concentrating public attention on Palmer scandal.

Little did the MIW let loose another scandal inadvertently.

Orbi good... -_-
