hi guys,

I am driving to Melaka this sat for the first time.

Will appreciate if there is some helpful numbers that I can call in case of vehicle breakdown or accident.

I understand I can call Plus Helpline at 1800 880 000 in the event if my car breakdown or tyre punctured.

What other helpful numbers I need to take note?

By the way, if kana accident, I need to call my car insurance company first right?

Take along the Singapore high commission telephone numbers as well.... just in case you lost your travel documents or in need of any other non-car related problems.

Send your car for service or to check all brakes, tyres, fan or alternator belts and also the water hose to ensure the basic (main) are in good order. Ensure also that your car battery not nearing to the expire date.

With all mentioned checks, enjoy your trip to Malacca.... [drivingcar]

The website did gave you a number to call after office hours, including Sat/Sun/PH:

Singaporeans who require urgent consular assistance after office hours should call the Duty Officer at + 601 9791 1166.

So its 019-791 1166 (if dial using a local Malaysia line).
