Wson 1st Gear December 24, 2012 Share December 24, 2012 Just don't go to Zojoji Temple this year. It's cancelled for the first time after 24 years running, due to overcrowding from previous year.

Aventador 6th Gear December 24, 2012 Share December 24, 2012 If I were you, I won't go Tokyo during the New Year. To the Japanese it is a very big holiday , imagine our Chinese New Year. So many places will be closed for several days just like our CNY. Last time all my favorite restaurants were closed for one week

Aventador 6th Gear December 24, 2012 Share December 24, 2012 (edited) Where to go for countdown best? If you are asking best in Tokyo, I guess should be some Japanese school girls house whose parents are overseas. Best in the world - the iconic places are Times Square in New York City. Also Clubs in London will be very happening, sure can score one. Or The few small islands near Samoa or new Zealand , which are the first places on earth to see the new day, hence the new year And lastly places like butter factory etc. in Singapore also not bad la, if you are like me and like to study the latest fashion trends among Singapore girls... Aventador 6th Gear December 24, 2012 Share December 24, 2012 i know.. so my new year period will be spent in tokyo disneyland and sea.. leaving on 4th... but really.. where to countdown? o.O With family or without? Without , your best bet is the big Tokyo clubs/discos With family I doubt they have those like marina bay type count down , they don't have alot of spare brigadier generals scholars to plan such things. Can probably try the big hotels like Park Hyatt, they sure to have countdown parties in the ballrooms.

Kiadaw 6th Gear December 24, 2012 Share December 24, 2012 Why go tokyo countdown? I think he happened to be a Tokyo during the new year. I also oversea for new year (actually technical not oversea), in Brussels this year. I hope its good. But I doubt it can top last year in Berlin, get drunk, & having a good time, which I do not want to explain further in a public forum. But I learn an important lesson that day, remember to ask for contact! When you are oversea, the chance to meet someone again without contact is near to zero. There are fireworks every bloody places, I mean like in your face 2-3 metres, & not those CNY type, New years eve is one of the few days where firework is legal in Germany, & people go crazy. Anyway, it depends on what TS is looking for, a main place outdoor, with the thousands of people to see the main firework & countdown, or hang out with people in a pubs. But probably not the kind of thing you want to do if you are a couple. But if you are alone, or with some dude friends, this is where you can hang out with. ↡ Advertisement
