Traffic light camera

I almost always left turn into St Alphonsus (aka the Exorcist Church) .

Hostorically, the vehicles behind tend to tailgate and hurry hurry. I will usually deliberately slow to 50 or so about three trees before the left turn... That entrance the right turn points to.

Vehicles coming from the opposite/ my left turn direction are quite fast around the bend.

Doing a u turn there seems quite dangerous as even a left turn makes me cautious about being rogered.

If you refer as post mass exodus, you are right but during other times, it's a patient wait to get out.

Else an accident.

A u turn there could be done simply by driving in and out of St Alphonsus. No charge and no dirty looks guaranteed.

It's free parking BTW.

There is a height restriction in the church also. Saw a lorry kena stop from entering cos of height issues. So those driving big lorries, do take note.

Maybe remove the troublesome right turn as their is a u turn at the shell station.  Or a traffic light... Which would be so many lights on that stretch.

Big lorries can still go in,  go up the ramp to the left.

Don't worry those outstanding folk will obey even if they scream and shout.

If it is Re security....regarding That thing at Shark and Crocodile...

The right turn at the Shell Station is not for U-turn. It is meant for right turn to MHA or Balestier Hill Secondary school only. Dont get caught. There is a traffic light at this right turn, will be red when VVVIP from MHA exit.

Dont get caught!

The no u-turn should apply to the opposite junction. Lots of parents on weekday mornings chut this illegal stunt after dropping off their kid at SJ primary side gate. Some times nearly accident with cars turning left at Novena Square junction.

Happened to be in the front of the traffic lights today and see what i captured. Sure enough, cars are making illegal u-turns. It holds up cars making right turns and cars making left turn have to watch out for these illegal u-turns.

They are waiting for a very serious accident to happen before the authority really will do something about it.

The new traffic junction cameras are up already. Not sure if operational yet. Be extra careful at this Novena junction.

For all the offences the new cameras are supposed to catch, most people who don't do it prior to that will probably never do it ever.

For those habitual offenders, the only way to teach them a lesson is when they receive love letter from TP with the demerit points and compounding fines.

Additional tips. There is a cisco officer camp in front of Novena Church every weekday during bus lane hours. Those turning to Mt E Novena, take note. Seen lots of cars kena liao. Its a slight bend there and he is stationed directly under the overhead bridge.
