In jb, ask mech for a used unit from half cut to test.

If confirmed, then change.

This is what my Jb mech does. No agaration or trial and error

That is trial and error. [laugh]

Change parts and test result. If no good, change another part and try again.

can it be spark plugs? gap or condition?

did mech check spark plugs?

was told by svc advisor of C&C could cause severe vibration of engine.

Changed 2 coils in Aug 2012.

Changed the remaining 2 old coils and 4 plugs yesterday.

what i meant was....

local mech they have little access to used part. They order new part and if its not the problem, you still paid

Some local workshops do have used parts.

Sometimes they strip cars before scrapping (for those who send to them to handle) and keep working parts.

However, they may not necessary give you new parts but still charge you new, especially for stuff you can't see.

How many customers asked for old parts back to prove parts have been changed ?

Ultimately, it's the integrity of the workshop boss.

It is confirmed one of the mounting gave way.

Another possible fault is the big round black color coil.

My JB machanic ask me to buy a used coil in SG.

Any bro know where can I buy in Defu Lane?

Hi to bring up this issue of jerking again and hopefully kaki here can help. My airwave jerking and rpm not going consistently. Any kakis can advise what wrong? Plug, coil, fuel pump change and not doing any good. Any good recommendation of airwave specialist? Thanks bro

Jerking and rpm not stable - is this during idling ?

If so, your engine idling air passage is either dirty (if you have poor filtration aftermarket air filter) or the IACV motor is not working properly.

Clean the throttle body, check the fuel filter, fuel pump, main relay for ignition and coolant temperature sensor.
