shouldn't the officers and men from the navy donate their blood to help him?

Maybe they kana sucked dry already [laugh]

You be surprised. Quite a bit of the blood in SG blood bank comes from SAF blood donation drives.

Singaporeans are sibei giam with their blood. -_-

I think it is abt time we 'look inwards' whenever we are doing charity..too many events now always publicizing how they are helping outwards..eg east timor..or some kids in some slums elsewhere..

Serviceman jason, we are with you, proud son of singapore.

+1

In a time when many are shirking their duty to the nation and its call, we still have people who step up and answer.

ME2 Jason, we are with you

Yes...Many Navy regulars and NSF headed down yesterday after book out. Even trainees like ME1T rush down to donate after their duties ended. I'm also a regular, so we can feel for him because this accident can happen to anyone of us.

Actually, if those who went down over the past 2 days would realise,

most of them are either from the Air Force or the Army by the uniform they are wearing.

Public might we wondering why they do not see Navy personnel.

Just to share if those are poundering.

Reason being Navy Personnel are not allowed to wear their Combat Rig outside of Camp, unless it's No.3.

That's why you all see Army wear Green No.4, Air Force wear Blue Coverall, but you will never see Navy unless that guy have big balls.

But true, a lot of Navy personnel went down.

Just by walking along the Car Park I already spotted quite a number of RSN Vehicle decals (the decal you display to gain entry to camp).

It's very heartening.

Some have never donated blood before.

yes, and they were honouring their soldiers - not far-fetched in the USA.

when you travel to the USA, it is not uncommon for members of the public to go up to men in uniform (regardless of country) to thank them for their service.

My sincere respect to all those in the service.

I will never forget what this great officer in the RSAF said before passing away earlier this year.

His last words to his wife when asked what he wanted his children to be were

for his daughters, a doctor

for his son an officer in the saf

Our dear bro is right, these are the men and women safeguarding our freedom everyday. They, like ME2 Jason, would give anything and everything they have to keep our country safe.

This is what I love about the Americans. They are willing to sacrifice the comforts of their life to do what is right. Do we have that moral courage?

Were you even at the Bloodbank before you make this statement?

Shouldn't the Defence Minister, together with the various Chiefs donate as well to show their care and appreciation for the men under his charge and lead by example?

So were those who went down to donate blood given day off?

In my active days, when the call for blood donation came, those who donated were given half day or 1 day (can't remember exactly) off, not on the same day and get to rest for few hours after that.
