Iceman81 4th Gear December 10, 2012 Share December 10, 2012 I don't face that issue, mine usually charge when less than 15% and takes me around 2hrs to fully charge
Damienic 5th Gear December 10, 2012 Share December 10, 2012 I have the same problem as TS. From flat batt to full charge, consider fast if it can take 3 hours. Sometimes 3 hours gone by and only 60%++ charged. Others told me could be that the cable which comes with it is slightly spoilt. But seem to me TS also face the same problem. Hmmmm....

Mcf777 Turbocharged December 10, 2012 Share December 10, 2012 I used my old htc charger to charge my Samsung Notes. From 10% to 100% battery life, takes about 2-3hrs. Today, i (1st time) used the original Samsung Notes charger. Takes 1hr to full charge from 10% to 100%. Very surprised after having the phone for more than 6months.

Alpha78 6th Gear December 10, 2012 Share December 10, 2012 Actually it might be the problem with the charger.. I am using the ipad charger to charge the S3... it is blazing fast.. as the ipad charger output 2100mha Although the S3 charger did not state the output current, I believe it's 2100mA. I have a car charger that outputs 2.1A as well, both of these charge the phone equally fast. Computer USB port output is only 500mA, it's painfully slow. The other thing is if you have battery draining apps that are running in the background. If your battery drains very fast, even if 2.1A is going in, the net gain in charge is slow. Watwheels Supersonic December 10, 2012 Share December 10, 2012 (edited) My Galaxy Tab 10.1 v1 also very slow. Have to charge overnight to get it fully charge. Everything original. Dan I bought a non-original charger & usb retractable cable from challenger to be used in office for charging. Charge slightly faster. I think the output amp for the non-original is higher thus faster charging time. Original low output amp. Gotto go home strain my eyes to check. Gadgeter 2nd Gear December 10, 2012 Share December 10, 2012 Your original battery should be 2100mAh. Check the power output of your charger, if you see Output: 5.0V - 0.7A Your average charging time will be about 3 hours to charge from 0-10% to 100%. FYI, most USB socket is having the output of 0.7A. IMHO, very slow charging.
BabyBlade Internal Moderator December 10, 2012 Share December 10, 2012 Yes Samsung's charger/adapter/cable has some issues. My bro's Note 2 & my S3 had issues. I started using my iPhone adapter and everything was good. But anyway both Samsung adapter went Samsung Service Centre at PS, and had 1 to 1 exchange. Though I stopped using the Samsung adapter anyway. Still prefer the trusty Apple adapter & using my Samsung cable.

BabyBlade Internal Moderator December 10, 2012 Share December 10, 2012 Btw, what I encounter was... Occasionally I charged overnight and morning time, not even 100%. Kinda of ridiculous right. Secondly, prone to using phone while charging. This one time I was using while charging. From 15% slowly started dropping till reached 5%. Normally doesn't happen as I've been charging & using for as long as I can remember with iPhone etc and no issues. And also encountered a worse case... Can't charge at all. Have to off the phone to eventually charge it. Terrible!
