Lighter fluid will "melt" the adhesive away...so that you can remove it. Another way is to take some rubber adhesive and use it to make a blob...and then use it to dab on the adhesive to "stick" it up from the glass. If using lighter fluid...work on a small area at one time...dun try to remove the whole patch at one go...will make things very messy.

Kklim Supercharged January 29, 2013 Share January 29, 2013 (edited) Go to Guardian or other pharmacies and ask for IPA (isopropyl alcohol) or denatured alcohol. It helps to soften and dissolve glue, even the strong one on 3M tape. No strong smell. Edited January 29, 2013 by Kklim

Simplecar 4th Gear February 13, 2013 Share February 13, 2013 the SP added to inside of door melted and the SP piece/s got in contact with the window inside. One way to remove is hair dryer to melt the SP a little while wiping off with newspaper/unwanted pieces of cloth. Using solvent together would be faster. Anw TS use the axe oil will be good if you have some readily available. If not some normal cooking oil and the green side of a sponge will do also to help scrub the glass and give it lubricant. ↡ Advertisement
