After a long day of walking n visiting the POI, just channel surf and watch whatz available. Just happen to see the same couple doing the same thing over four nights.

 

I will switch on HBO movies or some other movie channel. Then koon liow.

The last time I stayed at a hotel in Taiwan or Japan was like 20yrs ago, when we wanted to visit some sights

in the capital. Now it's just airport, train, home.

 

Porn is sooo abundant, night market got DVDs, along the streets got shops selling also. Couldn't be bothered.

If cannot sleep, go out take a walk, eat something, come back sure sleep one.

Don't believe in that rubbish, the discount is as good as no discount.

Recent news event was they offered tickets for early bird discounts

as much as 50% ended up no one got the discount when they booked early

and HSR didn't mention how many SEATS were available for the discount.

 

Even if you try to book early to get the "discount" for the daytime non-peak period,

the timing offered is not workable, go see and you will know. I travel back to Taiwan 2-3 times

a year, HSR for me wise, is fast but still damn troublesome, need to get off at this station and then

take a cab to the regular train station. (Yes, they are not linked, different rail.)

 

eh i got the discount when i booked online leh. i went to taichung. std fare is NT700 for adults and NT350 for seniors. i booked 3 A 2 Senior return. paid only NT4970.

Go Taiwan anytime except during Summer. It's hot and humid like Singapore. Plus June - October is also the typhoon season.

Seniors got discount all day. The discount advertised is far more then what you got. Online is online price when you book early, not the SPECIAL discount when you book early on certain days certain time. As much as 50% and even the locals say is boh koh leng one.
