Sunnyday76 1st Gear December 3, 2012 Share December 3, 2012 Hello to all, I've got a question which I've been thinking.. Assuming I wish to convert my car on 14 Jan 2013. LTA will pro-rate me and require me to top up e.g. $7000. And from today 3 Dec 2012 to 14 Jan 2013, there are 4 days which I can drive without using the $20 coupon namely Xmas eve, Xmas day, New Year eve, and New Year day (I'm under the New Revision scheme). My question is does this $7000 take into consideration already of the 4 days which I can drive say to say, free on the roads for LTA's formula to derive this $7000 to charge me? In other words, if I convert e.g. tomorrow, then I "loo-gi" these 4 days of free usage since LTA is going to charge me from today and they are not going to consider the upcoming 4 days of free usage which I can enjoy? Err, am I making any sense to the bros here? Bottomline is this: Should I be converting my OPC to normal plate before or after public holidays? Thanks in advance for the advice!! ↡ Advertisement

Paiseh, it's so to say, not say to say.. To make this question sound even simpler, does LTA convert based on 30 days in a month, or 22 working days in a month after minus weekends? Thanks again.. Pocus Turbocharged December 3, 2012 Share December 3, 2012 Paiseh, it's so to say, not say to say.. To make this question sound even simpler, does LTA convert based on 30 days in a month, or 22 working days in a month after minus weekends? Thanks again.. Why not calculate from here, I believe the price is different daily: https://vrl.lta.gov.sg/lta/vrl/action/pubfu...D=EnquireCnvFee IF I were you I'd convert after public holidays. Also, you can convert in advance, go need to go down on that particular day to convert.
Sunnyday76 1st Gear December 3, 2012 Author Share December 3, 2012 Hi Pocus, thanks for the fast reply. Maybe let me rephrase my question please. E.g. Input in the system as intended conversion date to be 17 Dec 2012. LTA calculated costs to be $7100. Next, input conversion date to be 3 weeks later as 7 Jan 2013. LTA calculated costs to be $7150. Logically speaking, this means that I am paying $7150 - 7100 = $150 to use the car 3 weeks earlier. If I wish to find out the costs of conversion per day for these 3 weeks of difference, do I use this $150 to divide by 21 days (since there are 21 days in 3 weeks), OR $150 divide by 11 working days (21 days - 3 Sats - 3 Suns - 1 Xmas Eve - 1 Xmas day - 1 New Year eve - 1 New Year day) since revised OPC usage is already free to drive on weekends, certain public holiday eves and public holidays? Is this clearer now, or worse, I'm making bros here even more blur?

By asking here, maybe the answer you get may not be so accurate. Do share if you have call and ask LTA about.
