I guess this could be due to poor lane discipline (nothing new in SIngapore) or poor reflux (aunties take time to react, she would have seen that there was no car, by the time she decided to change lane, you were already there). In the later case, she should have given signal (again nothing new)

But, congrats you saved an accident!

This type of lack of lane discipline during a bend is common. got to anticipate this, and thus not to overtake or even turn together.

I always very careful when negotiating that bend... cause alot of kuku around so have to be extra careful.

she never see you and u tried to overtake her when turning (its looks like u maintain speed and she slowed down but the consequence is u will be overtaking her), i know cause i always do the same, overtake the slower car/bus/lorries when turning, until one big cement mixer, slowed down and cut into my lane (cause the vehicle too big and he probably though i will slow down to allow him to turn) and i shaved passed the vehicle at high speed, with my wife at the passenger seat, i was a bit scared so imagine her....now days i slow down and allow them to turn and i realise almost all the big vehicles will cut into my lane....all those times i was very lucky, either they jam brake or i choing pass before they cut into my lane.....

entering expressway to the right, especially on big intersections, also got lots of car on the left side will drift into the right side (and vice versa) cause there are almost no road markings for this traffic

but this auntie with a small car, simply not enough concentration, probably got distracted by the construction and never follow road markings.

Totally agreed.

I always slow down around bends/turns, especially with cars/lorries beside me. There are many jokers out there. Nevertheless, safety first.
