Simon29 Neutral Newbie November 28, 2012 Share November 28, 2012 So In theory only the upfront cost is lower. Since the PARF rebate at the end of 10yrs is loweR, then it seems to be a LPPL scheme. The depreciation per year will more of less be the same? Chey.
Cluboxed 1st Gear November 28, 2012 Share November 28, 2012 but since price is lower => lower interest => lower depreciation => lower resale value...which i think is 'fair' bah...

Deckbuild 6th Gear November 29, 2012 Share November 29, 2012 http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/sin...1239830/1/.html how does it work? rebate upon purchase new car? Rebate will be deducted from parf, or added to Bank of LTA. Deducted amount from parf will be passed to buyer or not we never know. Whatever green campaign for cars will never benefit drivers. Even if it does, it's short live.
Deckbuild 6th Gear November 29, 2012 Share November 29, 2012 but since price is lower => lower interest => lower depreciation => lower resale value...which i think is 'fair' bah... Price is lower <= Very insignificant..... How many cars able to get full 20k rebate? Even Toyota Prius C unable to get the full 20K remove, min parf value left must be at least 5K. Deckbuild 6th Gear December 10, 2012 Share December 10, 2012 Prius and Lexus CT will.. Yep, this both will get full rebate next year. Anyway it depends on individual what they wants. Currently driving the Prius C, FC range around 25km/l to 32km/l. I think the FC is more enticing rather than just looking at the CEVS rebate. But of course if mileage is low yearly, no point getting a car just because of high CEVS rebate as you lose quite alot of parf rebate when you dereg the car as we never know how much of the CEVS rebate is passed on to consumer. Deckbuild 6th Gear December 10, 2012 Share December 10, 2012 very true..how about a diesel for ya? kekeke I'm actually looking at Sorento Diesel 2.2l but the problem is, diesel have tax on it's own on top of additional road tax, and might have trouble with Malaysia traveling due to lack of low sulfur diesel availability. Thats why really have to look at what individual wants. CEVS is just a small part which is quite insignificant.
