Good...installed yesterday...guy comes to ur house....fitted it, ask u to test....happy then take money.... [:p]

New wiper should have very good performance. More important is the lifespan. One way TS can do to prolong the performance of the wiper is to lift up the wiper whenever he parked his car. Should be able to last for at least 2 years.

The best way is make your wiper work less. Get Rainx or Autosol wiper washer concentrate and mix it in your wiper washer reservoir, squirt after every carwash like that. Most to most only use low speed during heavy rain. Save your car electricity somemore.

Hi bro ...

Rainx or autosol wiper.. contain some chemicals that will cause the wiper rubber to harden prematurely.

Left a oily surface finishing after wiping.

Usually i dont recommend people use those. Only for side mirror yes.

Buy wiper "lifter" where it will form a gap between the wiper and the windscreen.

I think most of the times, wipers under the hot sun pressed on the windscreen spoils it. This is why some ppl put up their wipers after parking in open carpark but you can't put up when driving so the lifters help. When it's raining, just wipe and the lifter will "unlock" itself.

I top up my water tank with filtered tap water.

I topped it up with distilled water so no attack on the wiper!

I dont think it will harden silicon. Not sure about the chemical whether have any chemical reaction going on.

Most of the time, no matter which type of wiper blade used. After baking in the Sun with chemical coated windscreen, often leave a very oil surface and blur-ish.

Yes, it's mostly the oily grims that cause the blurred vision. Use Mama lemon to clean up will do.

Mixed reviews on the wiper lifter. Some say better to leave it down so the wiper will season the windscreen shape so will swipe evenly.

If you lift the wiper, it will flex and will be out of shape with the windscreen. How many of us only clean the wiper during carwash and not taking account that during day to day driving, dust and dirt accumulate on the wiper and when it rains, the wiper fail to perform and we just look for a better wiper?
