i think our lions can win 1-0

 

my personal summary

1st min kelong penalty, singapore converts.

 

then "playacting" for 89min + extra time

- keeper takes 30 seconds for goal kick each time

- duric hold the ball at the corner flag for 10 second each time

- slightest touch, our players will fall down demanding for stretcher (once out of the field, they will jump up and flag the ref to be re-introduced asap)

the way i see Spore play against Philip.....lagi worst.

 

The Thais will lift the cup for sure.

 

i watched the first tie only, and both teams were not impressive. but i think thailand should be the clear favorite. i guess 2-0 to thailand. when is the final btw ? thx.

actually i find SG did quite well.. the pinoys were has power and obvious height advantage but SG managed to get all the 50/50 balls

I think much depends on the first leg, if we can have at least a 0-0 draw.. should be ok

Thier mentally and tactics aint gona work against the Thais.

 

I usually see Spore play slow to medium pace.

 

Never as fast as the Thais. Doubt Spore can up the pace if the need arises.

 

If Spore were to win it......it will be through a boring draw game and PK. Or a fluke goal or a 10 man Thai.

 

Other than that.....it will be a simple straight forward Thai win in 90 mins.

last night match, i saw it on rtm1...

 

the thais are good, but the sending off of the malaysian player a bit unfair, with 1 man down and needing to score due to the away goals rule, difficult liao.

 

for us, as usual, when you expect singapore to lose, they surprises you and the same vice versa...

 

we were always the underdog even the last 3 time we won it.

 

1998, beat vietnam when the host were overwhelming favourite to win it with even thailand and indonesia prefering to score own goals to play us in the semis.

 

2004, beat indonesia when they say we will crumble in the senayan stadium, beat them 3-1 there.

 

2007, beat thailand who was favourite to win it with a stunning goal by amri in bangkok.

 

even if lose, the lions already surpass expectation by reaching the final with many saying they will be knock out in the group stages.

on paper, i agree especially since singapore don't deal comfortably with speedy team.

 

much will depends on the tactics of the coach.

 

jalan besar pitch is small so the thais speed will not be put to maximum use, however, the thai pitch i saw yetesterday is huge and will definitely suit the thais play.

 

however, the beauty of football is the triump of the underdog, how manytimes have we seen it?
