Myxilplix Turbocharged April 28, 2014 Share April 28, 2014 Pls share your FR when you are back. Where r u staying? I have no idea where I'm staying. I'm going for scuba training and the shop/instructor has made all the arrangements. All I know is that that resort has a 4m-deep pool for scuba training. From talking to previous participants, I won't have time for R&R because the course is morning till night, then go sleep, wake up and repeat. I don't think it'll count as a holiday. Myxilplix Turbocharged May 2, 2014 Share May 2, 2014 Update: Apparently i'll be staying at the Graha Cakra Hotel in Sanur. The pool looks pretty nice, one of those long, narrow pools that runs around the premises.
Tohto Hypersonic May 2, 2014 Share May 2, 2014 Nope. Probably will get a driver / guide. Been there many years ago during unis days, the streets were very narrow & also got a lot long windy road. Still considering whether to split the stay between Ubud & the beach area or just stay in a place & travel around. Go for 6night, 3N in Kuta and 3N in Ubud. I have no idea where I'm staying. Maybe you can extent 2 more night.
Karu 6th Gear July 1, 2014 Share July 1, 2014 Just came back from a 6day trip... Beautiful beaches especially the one a Nusa. Crystal clear sea with moderate waves. Then again the other beaches at Seminyak & Legian were also good but not for swimming. Food wise, lots of choices available. Mostly western stuff but quality was good for the price. ~ S$10-15 per head for a reasonably good restaurant. The ribs at Warung Wahaha was fantastic!! Myxilplix Turbocharged July 1, 2014 Share July 1, 2014 I realise I didn't update from my May trip. I stayed at the Graha Cakra hotel on the outskirts of Sanur, along Jalan Bypass. Pretty basic but they are doing renovations as it is going to be catering to the scuba crowd. They got a nice 4m deep pool for training as well. Hardly any other guests there, although they apparently get regular government function/seminar groups in. It's about 10 minutes taxi ride to the bars/restaurants around Sanur, about 20 minutes to Denpasar. All in all pretty convenient. About 45 minutes by minibus to Padang Bai where we dived from on most days and about 2-3 hours by minibus to Tulamben for diving the Liberty wreck. Most nights we either chilled at the hotel or in Sanur (already got a regular bar there), but we did hit up Seminyak on a Saturday night to check out the clubs and bars. That was a fun night. I'm probably heading back to Bali in August.

Tohto Hypersonic July 30, 2014 Share July 30, 2014 I had book a trip to Bali for 6N on 1st week of Nov since SQ got very good promotion. 2 adult 2 children (12 & 14 yr old). I am planning to stay 1st 3 night in Nusa Dua & following 3N in Ubud. I want to ask expert here, at Nusa Dua, is it easy to get a car with driver outside the hotel? My last visit to Bali was 7 yrs ago and staying in Kuta, arranging a car is very easy. What is the typical car with driver price for full day? Just to get some guide of price so not to get chop. I just went this Apr, got a local guide + driver brought us from airport to hotel and practically everywhere. Guide/driver are very friendly and obliging and brought us to their best local restaurant, cheap and tasted the best Babi Guling ever. Look for Kadek by blackberry(27CC3A4F), i arrange with him everything on BB first before we arrived. Pin BB : 27CC3A4F rate - 450k per day http://ekabalitours.blogspot.com.au/p/contact-person.html Edited July 30, 2014 by Trex101

Main reason I select Nusa Dua because the beach there is better and more quiet. Nusa Dua in general got 2 places to eat. 1. Bali collection - collection of shops and restaurants - i randomly selected one restaurant to eat. Ok, not bad. 2. Near Courtyard by Marriott, there is a supermarket and a few restaurants and pubs along a small stretch of road. In general some restaurants in Nusa Dua will offer transport to and fro from your hotel lobby. I ate at this place. It's near the beach but not beside. Best to get them to fetch u there and back (really almost impossible to find on your own). The food is above average. No complaints but of course nothing superb. http://www.tripadvisor.com.sg/Restaurant_Review-g297698-d1174366-Reviews-Kendi_Kuning_Restaurant-Nusa_Dua_Nusa_Dua_Peninsula_Bali.html There are some eateries outside nusa dua but require transport. I think mostly locals eat there only. Edited July 30, 2014 by Lala81

Your hotel shuttle should be able to send u to bali collection, beach area and can also arrange pickup. There's no real need for vehicles within the nusa Dua area. If u want to go outside then the hotel will have standard charges for their vehicle. The concierge can also call Bali taxi for you as well. metered rates. When u going ubud, then maybe u get a driver.

Lala81 Hypersonic July 30, 2014 Share July 30, 2014 (edited) Going Nusa Dua just take airport taxi service. After exiting the terminal turn left. Rates are listed on a board. The driver still asked a small tip from me though. 10-20k rupiah. U can save sometime from that trip (Ngurah Rai Airport to Nusa Dua) by choosing to take their new bridge across the bay. think it costs about 10k rupiah in 1 direction. Taxis will ask u to pay. The hotel shuttle people don't. Edited July 30, 2014 by Lala81 ↡ Advertisement
