Just went to Bali last month.

My top picks are

Potatohead Beach Club in Seminyak. The lemongrass sangria punch is awesome. Bring change of clothes for the pool. Daybeds have a min spend of IDR 500k.

Bumbu Bali in Nusa Dua. Finer Balinese Cuisine. Sate is good. Grills are good. I don't know what they put in their peanut sauce but it's addictive. Budget around S$40 per pax for a hearty meal.

Ok but not fantastic are

Seafood at Jimbaran Bay. Crowded with a mix of locals and tourists. I expected better for the price they charge. Budget is around S$30 per pax; depending on what you order.

Made Warung at Seminyak. Popular tourist spot. Food is inexpensive and decent but not fantastic.

Thinking of going Bali during the June holiday for around 5 nights. Any suggestion of a nice villa for 3 adults & 3 kids? Where's a nice place to stay? The beach area (Kuta?) or Ubud?

Kuta alot attractions. U driving bo? If driving do choose big car as road super small(nightmare for me whereby i had to fold mirror to go through a small road somemore got longkang on right side).

I stayed in sheraton last year, maybe u can try one of the villas near waterbom park, my friend did stay there and its new villa somemore priced competitively. Walking distance to kuta malls and major attraction.

Nope. Probably will get a driver / guide. Been there many years ago during unis days, the streets were very narrow & also got a lot long windy road.

Still considering whether to split the stay between Ubud & the beach area or just stay in a place & travel around.

5 nights. Split better then have different experience. Stay around jimbaran or nusa dua pretty good also. My favourite place is jimbaran seafood. Go there around 6 o clock, the sunset so beuatiful

Just back from Nusa Dua earlier this month.

If you have fairly young children who are predominantly going to play in pool and beach or even children club activities, i recommend staying in those big resort-like normal hotel like Courtyard at Marriott. Had a good stay there.

Though 5 days is too long. That area is really more family oriented.

But Nusa Dua's beach is much much better than Kuta/seminyak area.

Kuta is just a lot of shops selling their usual pirated goods and pubs/restaurants.

Ubud ok lor, if u like seeing padifields.

Also can use as a springboard to see the interior of Bali. Can climb kintamani volcano

I would say with innovs ba, u use avanza go tanah lot, bedugul and singaraja sure pain experience cos for long trip and mountain trip not advisable.

True nusa dua is like resort area, so if want quiet and special holiday can stay nusa dua

If want crowded area then Kuta
