Chapter1_andy 1st Gear November 11, 2012 Share November 11, 2012 Nothing to do with car. Its the dumb ass driver who cannot control auto car. Or rather they're stupid. Put to D & thats it. Happily1986 5th Gear November 11, 2012 Share November 11, 2012 It depends. To me, always manual. Have seen so many cars driving auto and they speed past the turning point when making U turn. Many times nearly hit pedestrian on the side. Seems manual car drivers have better control of their cars. shifu, please teach me how you tell whether a car is manual or auto from the way the driver performs the U turn. Nzy Twincharged November 11, 2012 Share November 11, 2012 Only drivers like manual......for passengers its obvious.... My passengers prefer manual also leh. They feel its more comfortable. Auto sometimes jerky in first gear.
Fastfive1 5th Gear November 11, 2012 Share November 11, 2012 shifu, please teach me how you tell whether a car is manual or auto from the way the driver performs the U turn. Haha! For EVOs or WRX, can hear the driver revving the car to prevent it from stalling lor. This guy is merely trying to find an excuse to hate on ATs. What kind of auto car is that? Don't tell me an audi or vw with the dry clutch... On a side note, saw an audi a1 stall, with its hazard lights on along marine parade, just opposite the parkway bus stop last friday. Most auto vehicles should be pretty smooth if they're using torque converters.

Watwheels Supersonic November 11, 2012 Share November 11, 2012 Not all auto/manual transmissions are made equal. It has to depend on the car make & model to determine my choice. The question is too general to answer and the survey is quite pointless actually.
Fuelsaver Supercharged November 11, 2012 Share November 11, 2012 (edited) Now even Ferrari, even F-1 cars has gone to 2 pedals, you mean, all buyers of these supercars are pussies.? He meant those drivin auto all pussies. As if we have a choice. Drivin manual not a big deal though. Nevertheless, auto w tiptronic / steptronic / ps all made drivin somehow more pleasurable than full auto, at least get to engine brake round bends n down slopes. Especially when just start the engine.
