Donut Supercharged November 2, 2012 Share November 2, 2012 Last night, i was cruising on BKE towards PIE at normal speed of 90km/hr. Behind came a bike speeding down, zooming past me at least 110-120km/hr. We were near the speed camera location. As the bike zoom past the camera, i saw a big bright flash emitted from the speed camera. So, the moral of the story, is that speed camera is confirmed working..... Speed Camera at BKE got UPGRADED today. (The one near Bukit Panjang, before exits to Mandai and Turf Club Ave) Was on BKE driving North towards Woodlands yesterday Wed 12 Nov and they cordoned off one lane in the late morning around 10am with construction vehicles and I saw the old speed camera taken down. On the way back in the evening on BKE driving South from Woodlands, I saw that they installed a shiny brand new speed camera and it's huge! I suspect this one is digital, with LIDAR (laser) built in. Anyway FYI I suspect this camera will be extremely sensitive and trigger happy. Advance warning, I think they will switch it on soon. usually how much speed limit u go over will trigger the camera? if 5-10 will also trigger?
