Hi all, my RPM needle and Temp needles are not working out of sudden.

They stay at rest position and I have tried using the Honda gauge test

Video found in YouTube to perform a test and indeed both these needles

Are not responding. The Speedometer and Fuel gauge remains normal however.

Anyone knows where can i find shops in SG doing Instrument Gauge

Repair?

If both spoil together maybe its just a blown fuse. Chk that 1st. Quick n easy fix.

Is there a fuses for instrument guages?

Tried looking for this fuse location

And it doesnt seems to have one.

BTW, since only the RPM and temp

Gauge is down, very unlikely is a

Fuse problem.

Will plugging in and running a full

Onboard test using a scantool helps?

I checked the connectors behind the cluster and all

Are tightly secured. Maybe you have some workshop

To recommend. Worst case, would need to get a

Instrument gauges replaced. Am driving a Honda stream.

I agree with Pisces something may be just a simple fuse or lose connection. Don't panic.

But where is the fuse located? Now let's say if I were to take out the cluster housing and

Remove the lens cover, can the needles be touched or moved by hand. Thought of doing

Some reset by following some Contrivbutors in YouTube.

Found and replaced the fuse for the instrument cluster. As expected,

Fuses are intact and there goes the prime suspect. Looks like

Replacing a instrument cluster is unavoiable. Many workshop

That I went are not confident and do not carry out such repair.

Have already asked the workshop to soucred for a used set of

Meters and have to drive w/o a working Rpm and Temp gauge

Temporary.

Anyway techometer & temp gauge are not very important[most car will 'cut-out when max rev is hit & temperture gauge is always in the centre, most important is there is coolant in the radiator],most important are fuel gauge & speedometer.

Did ty do a chk using multimeter if got loose connection? Replace instruments quite ex hor.

Very unlikely 2 meters spoil at e same time. Look fr elect problem. Easier n cheaper fix.

Meters can last very long hor. Some cars 20 yrs all meters still work fine.

Temp gauge very important. Maybe he cn just install a red bulb come on when temp goes too high. Cheaper than change meters.

Anyway Japanese cars NEVER overheat,if there is coolant in the radiator & the fans are working,Now ALL temp gauge are like 'dummy',all just rised to the middle[coolant temp between 75-105C]...some cars already deleted this gauge.

I just had rad leak n overheat. Without my temp gauge i cud hv destroyed my engine.

Dun say gauges no use. Ty r not needed until something goes wrong.

Then u wil realise how important ty r.

Ive been driving many years n had several times my gauges saved me a lot of money n headaches.
