It happened to mine once and it was a broken connector on the horn.

 

If doesn't hurt to check the fuse but unlikely blown since it works sometimes.

Thanks bros above. No time bring down workshop. Try DIY later see have any ideas here or not.

 

Looked like loose joint somewhere or any oxidation on the steering causing no contact

Most Prob a connection loose or water get inside horn, Just have to trace the wire to check for all connection. then tighten it will do, If still persist den perhaps relay spoil liao,

This problem is due to a coil in the airbag. When I swift my steering to the left it works.

 

So now I am looking a place that sell the coil. Any Bros can advise??? I can go get it and fix it DIY

As above, any knowledge? Is it the coil or something else. Can it remedy by DIY?

 

 

sound like the cable is loose.... if you are using after market horn... check the relay as well......

Bro think not the cable and relay. If relay fault, it will not have sound at all. Might be the wiring but why steer to left right have and the center no sound?

 

So I think high possibility is the coil in the airbag.

 

Any expert? [:)]

sometime when lorry men get a fright they press hard but the horn leaks so the beeeee becomes boop

I am using Hella Magnum horns. When I do short taps, I get normal sound(twin tone). If I long press, the twin tone will drop to single tone after approx 1 sec (like "zhao siah"). Is is relay problem?

It could be the problem with the module or some call it the ecu. This ecu most likely manage the signal, wiper and horn controls. It's possible that internal corrosion had taken place which gives out intermittent signal to your horn. So dun be surprised if workshops tell you they have to replace the whole signal, wiper, horn & module wiring assembly as it may come in one whole set.

nope, I have experience where the contact of my relay rusted(dont ask me why) the horn work sometimes, but sometimes refuse to work...... I took wd40 spray and clean it up and its working again.... [laugh]
