Bro so u used this camera for one year with UPC, no problem with battery ya?

So can I say unless there movement or impact, no video will be record during parking mode?

What is a good and decent average capacity mem card that u guys use for this cam?

And where is good and experience to install this ITB100Hd? I read soon lee.. Any other suggestion? Thanks in advance.

Car Beauty Centre at Kakit Bukit....heard reliable to install, ZMC also! [:p]

Itb100 totally no problem at all

Not like blackvue have heat issue etc

What i know from AD, UPC is not a 100% device

If ur battery is old, like maybe 1.5-2 yrs onwards, the UPC cant save u also

It will still cut off the current but due to battery is old, it will slowly die off by itself

Other than this no issue

Yup only will record when theres movement or impact

But for sure there will be movement around

Like people walk pass, birds flying, wind blow trees moving, rain etc

All these will trigger the camera to start recording

I use class10 32gb memory card, very cheap only, can buy from sim lim

I think around 20+ to 30

Buy class6 onwards if possible

Ya car beauty at kaki bukit

This workshop is given by AD

I never go soon lee before but i guess they are fine

So many people here went there [laugh]

Make no mistake, the ITB-100 also gets hot. You only need to pull out the SD card to feel how hot the unit gets. But it doesn't shut down like the Blackvue does. Not sure if its because it doesn't have a thermal cutoff or it is still within its operating temperature range, though.

Totally agree.

I got a shock when i realised how hot the cam got. Try touching it after an hour in parking mode on a sunny day.

I was starting to wonder if my cam was defective

My main concern is that the heat generated can cause data corruption to the SD card over the long run.

Hi guys just inquiring, how do I power off the unit to safely remove the SD card as I have installed the UPC and wired up to the fuse box for 24hr recording ? Tried just turning off the car and removing the SD card but then the camera had the 4xbeeping even when i reinsert the SD card until I remove the power cable directly from the camera.

bro unplug the power cable from the DVR before removing the card. Else will damaged the SD card and DVR as its still recording and the card just removed without the power cable taken out. Please note this.

agreed

SD card is like a hot plastic,

i usually quickly slip it into my pocket.

too hot for the fingers.

and also,

i realised,

the cam takes just 5 mins to heat up.

tats how u can know if the cam is "ON"

without locating the "red light"

cos just touch u know its working well already

I have not done this yet. But I plan to install a switch for the red cable of the UPC. I think this will help.

I suppose you can get a switch from the car installer.

If you use Itronics Uninterrupted Power Cable (UPC) to connect the ITB-100HD, you are not suppose to be able to switch off power even if the ignition is off so that the Parking Mode is continued. If it is not connected correctly to work this way, you don't need the UPC.

So for those using UPC, the yellow (not red, I made a mistake earlier) cable is to connect to the fuse that is powering all the time whether the car ignition is on or not. If you put a switch to this yellow cable, you can then switch off for 2 purposes :

1. To remove the SD card, without unplugging and plugging the power cable

2, To switch off Parking Mode when you don't need it. There might be some occasions for this. I find this relevant and don't need all the time.

Hope this helps.
