Irresponsible hit And run

here's the plan:

1) get someone to PS the image and see if we can get a clearer image of the lady.

2) put up notice around surrounding blocks

3) fax to all major car workshop, with rewards

if the 3 car owners are willing to come out with say, $1k each, that would be $3k rewards.

i am willing to contribute $200 to the pool. Any seconders? If the reward is 5k, there is

a very high chance that someone will come out with info. I know that many people are

not willing to standup, afraid of trouble but with such a reward, I think it would be irresistible!

I think these jokers need to be punished and serve as a warning to any potential hit-and-run

people. Let's demonstrate the power of the internet and the car communities!!

Best time to put up reward was when newspaper reported the news.

I think the victims just a bunch of misers and silly enough to think police can find the culprits. :D

wu yah boh [rolleyes]

instructor ok neh mind. husband and father sit beside, with highway code one can drive out already? priest lah.

I am surprised this is not known to many. (Am I that old compared to the other forumers here? :D ) That was told to me in the general briefing when I signed up at Bukit Batok driving school in the early 90's when I started work. It is applicable for those whose father or spouse already has a car and could benefit from more hours on the road other than the short weekly sessions at the driving school. Why I could clearly remember was the category of person who could be seated next to you. Other than a qualified instructor, it has to be a father and spouse only. No friends, brothers, boyfriends allowed even though they may already be a qualified driver.

At that time the written test is still referred to as the Highway code.

Give rewards?

Later the culprit (subaru) ask his/her friend to claim the rewards and use it pay for his his/her next few years insurance. [lipsrsealed]

Get rewarded and then reputation ruined? hmm.....

if this is resolved, the newspaper definitely will be updated. ;)

you think people would be stupid enough to shot themselves in the foot?

maybe you hail from the era whereby having a PDL allows one to ride a motorbike already. :D

You create a new nick just for this thread, and offer reward for the culprit.... Are you one of the car owner?

No lah, I'm not. check my registration date and you will know.

I just feel that there are too many jokers like the couples around.

justice needs to be served and if we can make this the first precedence,

life will be so much better for car owners. Surely you don't want to live in

such fears right?

My objectives are simple:

1) get the jokers

2) update the media 'Internet communities solved the case before the police does';

I would love to see the face, unmasked of course, of the 2 jokers!!

3) Let the police force know that if they are not going to buckup, and Singaporeans have to take

things into their own hand, then they should not be taking things so easily anymore.

4) let this be the first case of internet and communities united to solve a 'crime'.

PS: its one stone many birdies.

BTW, believe me that this 'communities' thing will really work

as I've used such technique before to get govt agency to solve

some problems for more than 15households on some noise issues.

don't under-estimate the power of the force. [cool]
