Is it recommended to spend the fifth day (thurs) onwards of coming CNY in Malacca? Shop and makan places open?

Some retail places are not opened but you can find good Nyonya food even from 1st day of the lunar new year.

Mainly beaches, laid-back place. Roads are less congested, less buildings, less people too. Relax and relax.....and yet not too expensive!

Kuantan has the famous Teluk Cempedak beach, where the round boulders are. Its a popular beach for the locals with Macdonalds, eateries and souvenir shops nearby.

You could also stay in one of the many sea-front resorts in Cherating. There's sea sports there or just simply dip in the resort pool all day to relax.

Or go Sg Lembing (if you like nature and rustic town), or Bukit Gambang (for a water theme park escape). Both are less than an hour's drive from Kuantan.

Ever been to seribum? If I got the spelling correct, said to be famous for their biscuit bun.

I think Kuantan n Cherating are relaxing enough, as mentioned before. Only 5-6 hours of drive via B roads, no tolls at all.

Lembing is for rustic feel and nature. Its like going back to kampong days. You get a feeling of "time has stopped" when you're there. Gambang is just for water theme park, swim and enjoy, just like Sunway lagoon. If you don't like these things, then you can skip them.

sorry, its seremban

I never been to Seremban. I did Google for info on that city last time, but can't find any interesting attractions there. So what's good there anyway?

Yes, 5-6 hours. But the scenery is different, unlikely those on NSH and Ipoh.

B roads are those 2 lanes (different direction each lane) road. You use NSH you take a longer time cos you then need to go KL and then use Karak Highway to reach Kuantan.

You mean NSH don't have road hoggers?

All roads has its fair share of danger. If you really dislike B roads then don't go Kuantan/Cherating/Lembing. Cos there are all B roads.
