Scion Turbocharged October 16, 2012 Share October 16, 2012 Can still use? Big blue leh. Sibeh heart pain. it depends on how badly it is... if it's big tear or incomplete, the bank will pay you a lesser value (eg give you $40 for a incomplete $50 note)

Nvr heard of discounting the face value.

TVT Supercharged October 16, 2012 Share October 16, 2012 I ever received $10 torn notes before. Usually I will stick them back neatly by scott-tape, then use it onto the Ezylink machine to top-up my MRT card. The machine can actually take it in, no problems at all! One of the torn $10 I ever received was even completed torn into half but was attached back by scott-tape. I also used at the Ezylink machine... 13177 Hypersonic October 16, 2012 Share October 16, 2012 (edited) Can those ATM deposit machine accept torn notes? If can, just deposit the money into the bank rather than through the counter. Edited October 16, 2012 by 13177
TVT Supercharged October 16, 2012 Share October 16, 2012 Works every time It depends. Some merchants/sellers receive the money are sharp to spot it and can reject it...and you could be left in a "situation" I save myself the trouble. Just slot into the machine.... You need to go at their busiest time, so that they do not have time to look at the money. Even if they spotted it, just act blur that you also dont know and take back and give them another note lo.
