i will always recommend Autosavers, because their pricing is transparent (means they wont anyhow kotok) and cheaper than AD, the staff are up to their task, and they allow you to hang around the bay. Unlike AD, their servicing is usually done quite fast, and you can always buy the parts from stockist to save some money to buy cake. Too bad the ws in Defu lane is closed, as I found there to be very condusive. I had my nissan serviced there for almost 5 years.

Hi,

I am very very new to car market would like to seek guidance from experts in the forum, Please advice, which one to choose from

1) Volkswagen Jetta 4.1 basic

2) Nissan Sylphy Signature Series 1.5 (17'' wheels, rear camera + alpine stereos+ gps).

We are a family of 04 (2 kids).

Also your feedback on after sales of Tan Chong Motors and Volkswagen Centre Singapore. And resaleability factor of these 02 brands or models, fi we plan to use for 3-4yrs.

Thanks

Vicky

For the family use, better take the Nissan, at least gearbox trouble free.

Hi good morning Nissan users,

1) Was wondering if it is good buying a second hand Latio around 3yrs used, with STA certified "A". Interiors & exteriors of the cars is very well kept.

Any particular points to look at, suggestions & guidance we very welcome.

2) Also as I understand, Latio is no more sold in Singapore, will there be a problem in spare parts if I intend to use it for 4-5 yrs,

3) and if the discontinuation will effect the resale say If I upgrade after 3-4 yrs?

Thanks

vicky

If you are unlucky, Latio has 2 problem.

1. CTV gearbox. If breakdown will cost a bomb to replace.

2. Aircon. Some owner reported aircon failure between 3-5 years of use. Repair also not easy.

Spare parts? No worry... there are thousands of Latio on the road with cheap COE. Not likely for the current owner to scrapt them.

Pls advice if we buy Nissan Latio or Honda City

Depends what you want.... Both are pretty safe bet I think.... Latio has bigger cabin space, but I like City's flat back seat floor space. City has better mileage too I think. Same YOM wise, City is more expensive. Latio uses CVT gear which many worry will cost a bomb when needs to be replaced.
