Latio or Sylphy, pls advice!

Actually in terms of design, i find both cars also look ugly.

 

Latio better IMO. More style...Sylphy very plain look

Bro last time auto gear also many ppl see it as problematic and full of problem. See now Auto car population is more than manual. Technology will improve. Just not worth to invest in hybrid car technology not yet mature and too expensive to use.

my bf's dad drive a latio, looks quiet ok to me... slyphy to me is a bit expensive.... but if u have the money, i think sylph is more spacious and looks nicer than the latio...

 

Same here. Latio looks more stylish but syphly looks fugly but i drove syphly n very shiok to drive.

 

Thats why my fren bought. He test drive n immediately bought cos of e nice feel.

i am thinking to buy a 2nd hand latio or sylphy1.5, from my study, latio is better in fuel consumption, while sylphy is good in interior, but in terms of price, sylphy is much higher than a latio of the same year, i prefer sylphy as i like the external looking also, can someone lighten me is it worth the money? thx.

I don't understand why you narrow down to this 2 models only, based on my past experience Nissan is underpower and FC bad, why not consider Avante, Altis, Elantra? powerful, FC good and price low

I'm not sure about Latio but Sylphy's suspension is very soft. It provides some kind of comfort when going over road undulations but it does make some ppl feel like puking after that. Kind of like seasick haha.

The 3 models you mention... FC at most as good as Latio if not worse...!

 

Maintenance and repair cost for Nissan is still the most reasonable. So, if buying 2nd hand car with limited budget... Nissan is the best choice.

For used car maybe still can consider altis and avante, but elantra somehow too new and the price very expensive even for used car.

If you really do some homework and compare the FC, Latio's FC is at least on par with Altis and beats the korean cars anytime.

 

The last thing you should do is to ask around for others' PERCEPTIONs

Same theory like when people find altis FC is good, all toyota cars FC is good.

its not ignorant, its just the perception. Its true Sunny cars have very bad FC, Altis FC also not very good.....Many ppl dont go into details and spend hours researching the specs and getting forum feedback before buying something..they just go for what they heard is good....Sunny FC reputation is so bad, u dont need an internet to know it. Same goes for Toyota, everybody talks as if its the platinum standard....but the real truth is elsewhere....Some ppl die die will not drive a 'non-branded' car or even tyres. Dont even mention about low end conti cars....

 

For those that are not so anal about FC (looking at all the mods drivers do to increase performance by 0.000001% but increase FC by 10%..and very happy doing so), better look at the other aspects of the car..looks, performance, comfort, space.... its often the husband complaining about power/looks and wife complaining about comfort/space. If both hate all aspects, no point saying ur FC is great....you will be cracking ur head and trolling the forums on how to increase the performance by 0.000001%. and end up with a low powered car, lousy comfort, small space with poor FC.

+1. TC service is the best of all AD I encountered so far. Nissan's reliability is one of the best - min maintenance maximum output.

Nissan is my first car, so I can't compare with other AD but I can say, visiting their service center is a nice experience. They have nice lounge with free decent food and beverage.
