Said the STOMPer (Oct 7): "Blue panelled van skidded along the PIE towards Jurong. "This happened at about 12 noon today under wet weather conditions. "Tree pruning or clearing was on the right lane of the expressway. "A blue panelled van tried to slow down and filtered to lane 2 but realised a lorry was right in front of it. "The van driver tried to swerve back to the right lane, unfortunately she over-corrected and the van rubbed against the right barricade. When the front tires finally found traction it shot the van off to the right side guardrail too quickly. Crap tires was the cause of this one...
