Observed that you enjoy driving too. Agree with u that it makes the drive even more pleasant when there's another good driver on the

road to pace you, non combative, of course. I only had the rare chance once with a 640i on the NSHW, KL - Machap. [:)]

Is'nt this topic beaten to death by various forums and people? There are good drivers and there are bad drivers. It is not fair to assign nationality, color or anything. True, Singapore has no such long high ways and hence even if somebody hogs the road, that you cannot over take him, it will be for a few minutes before your destination or the hogger's destination comes. And yes, there is a mindset that "Being in the right" is predominant in Singapore. That is life aint it? Would'nt it be boring if every one is the same?

Take it easy guys. I drive a SG plate, not a singaporean, have driven in NSH and beyond to Thailand too, and all this ranting, puffing, tailgating, being aggressive does not help anyone, including the one who thinks he is the right. Take a deep breath when you encounter a situation not to your liking, chill and carry on with your drive. Life is worth a lot more than a few minutes you gain by tailgating, driving at unsafe speeds, pushing people around or preaching them what is right.

Drive safe folks..

yea.. its always nice to have some nice fellows to pace together. non combative of course. its not a measurement of whose ego is bigger. mine is a small cc car, 160-180 no stress anything higher CMI.

i enjoy the drive up gg up just for food, rest and exercise the car. nowadays lesser due to work commitments.

You are a keen observer & a gd pacifist......without all these rants about other road users, MCF might die a natural death.

This forum provides us the opportunity to have our say and vent our frustrations, IMO. :D

No worries. There is no way the summon will reach u in Sg.

Which is cheaper, pay the summon or change VRN??

i notice the trend nowadays is

1) heading north. after geylang patah, if geylang patah no have it will be around pagor.

2) heading south, before geylang patah or en route to JB.

its been awhile since i last got stop. once last year heading south, caught at 121km/h manage to negotiate through and arguing it as overtaking.

most of my trips are rather pleasant, along the way i will be able to find a car to pace with me, the last trip was nice. a SG Rex whom i totally dont know. we convoyed all the way to Melaka. cruising at 160-180km/h. he over take me i overtake him, taking turns to use each other slip stream. times like this i wish all my road trips will be this pleasant.

just sharing

What colour was the Rex? And how long ago? Lol :D

In this topic:

People who expect other drivers to magically siam to the left, even if they're overtaking, whether there's a gap or not.

Keep left unless OVERTAKING.

Overtake as fast as possible otherwise road hogger.

If there is oncoming vehicle during overtaking move, signal left to show intention to move left when there is a gap.

As i always used to exit via 2nd link, i will drive sedately @110km/h until i hit NSH. It is a hot spot for highway petrol.

I know.

What i wrote is basic principal for driving. No point to argue what is right or wrong.
